I never had but I guess it was supposed to be with this effect

its from the screen swaying as you move so yes it is a feature. probably didnt expect it to cause this but they should have included settings to turn it off

I think that as well, probably the colours and the camera, sadly there are no ways to change that in the options

I get sicker than a dog when playing fps with no option to turn off head bob. Hotline Miami does give me motion sickness but not quite as bad. Hopefully they will add window mode soon so that scrolling color effect doesn't take up the whole screen.

As a Teenager i suffered under under epilepsy but it stopped about 10 years ago. As I started to play Hotline Miama i was a litlle bit remebered at this time. I´m really glad today that I don´t fall from my chair or get sick by those games. I can understand you guys with the motion sickness the game is really hard visual stuff...

I can sympathise with you big time. Some games (especially those with a small FOV) give me really bad motion sickness too.
Hope you manage to get a fix for this.

If you actually pay attention, you can notice some swaying of the camera when moving in the game. I noticed it just by watching a few videos of the game.

Hotline Miami is not an FPS, it's a top-down view game in which, whenever the character moves, there seems to be a sway on the level from side to side, not to mention the psychedelic colours.

I tried the game and yes it could easily cause motion sickness, I'll never forget Necrovision though, my god that gave me a headache before i could even finish a level.
EDIT: Not necrovision, it was another FPS in which you could modify time in objects.....SINGULARITY, that one.

Many games give me motion sickness and ill tell you its not a nice thing. The one that was the worst for me was Ape Escape 1 on ps1 it doesn't have camera controls so its randomly spazzing around as you run, i couldn't play it for 3 minutes it took me to finish the first level it was torture

no game will make you get sick/vomit as And Yet It Moves
trust me...

Have you tried increasing the Field of View? If there's a setting in-game or you can change a .cfg file to that effect, it should be smooth sailing. The #1 problem which leads to motion sickness when playing games is a very low FOV.

Hey guys.
I just realised I have to stop playing Hotline Miami (probably permanently) because it gives me terrible headaches, dizziness and...well basically motion sickness.
Is anyone else experiencing this?
EDIT: I just wrote an e-mail to the publishers depicting my problem, I hope they listen to my request
