Will you buy this KILLER BUNDLE?
I like it better than what HB's new Indie bundle currently has to offer, to be honest. Blue Estate and Odallus have been on my wishlist for a while and since I wasn't able to grab CotDM for a few cents, I'm ok with that one being included as well. I could end up keeping some other titles too.

Worth it for Blue Estate. Best lightgun game i have ever played

Only have Blue Estate already, and have 3 of the others wishlisted, so that's a yes for me :-)

This might explain why Star Ruler 2 got taken from the bundle and why keys can't be redeemed: The developer Blind Mind Studios is about to close down. :(
Damn, it was the only game I was interested in. I even was even lucky enough to win a copy aaaand ...
Oh well, certainly the dev's fate is worse than ours. Best wishes to them!

I just received a reply from Firgof and he (more or less) confirmed my thoughts:
"We voided the keys because BundleStars broke the terms of the contract they signed with us and were not cooperative when we asked them to remove our game from the bundle.
Since SR2's bundling is ending prematurely, we've decided to set up a discount for the game and its expansion for next week. We're sorry for any inconvenience."
Edit:
He did edit his text a bit meanwhile. Now it is:
"There was a misunderstanding over how/when the game should be included in their bundles.
Since SR2's bundling ended prematurely, we've decided to set up a discount for the game and its expansion for next week. We're sorry for any inconvenience."

So even if you first bought the bundle the keys are invalid or revoked if you activated it ?
This is a little unfair .. i mean at least bundlestars should swap in other game imo

My key has not been revoked yet, but second purchase, I don't know.

We don't know what Bundlestars might have done to them. Any side might be at fault though.
But I don't feel like blaming a developer about to close down, because I didn't get their final project for some few cents. That'd just feel wrong. I certainly wouldn't mind a great discount though. ;)

I'm not sure what contract dispute the dev had with bundlestars, but voiding all keys for all purchasers seems unfair.
Void only the unsold keys.... I wish I activated my steamkey the moment I bought the bundle, and not days later thanks to being busy.
All I'm going to say is, the "future discount" for star ruler 2 on steam, better make it $.50.

If you didn't buy legal copy, then they are in their rights to take back. If bundle stars broke their contract, then it's their fault.
(Of course you're entitled to refund or working copy from Bundle Stars)
Not that I have seen contracts or know details.

Well hopefully bundlestars will somehow reimburse me for the key.
Shame, Star Ruler 2 was the only game I truely wanted from the bundle, and its weight in my decision to buy the bundle was the single factor.
Sadly, only in the digital world can manufacturers so blatantly abuse the system.
(imagine if it was physical goods, if a store contracted to sell your product, and you shipping 10,000 units to the store to sell, and then somehow, after selling some of them, being legally able to break into peoples homes to break or steal back your product)

Yeah, it's a lot easier when it's digital product.
Thought digital devices do usually contain kill code, so things like stolen mobile phones can be bricked remotely. You will retain product, but it's effectively useless.
eg. Nvidia remotely bricked certain batch of faulty shield tablets. (with legal reason).
Same if you buy stolen phone, etc, it can be bricked.

Oh FFS. Blue Estate and Star Ruler 2 were the games I was interested in out of this one. I hadn't got it because I was broke - but I just sold a bunch of paintings and was about to get it when I saw this. These aren't the first devs to change their minds about a bundle but if they made a deal already then they just need to suck it up.

I see it as bundlestars doing the work of advertising the bundle, which in turn generates exposure for said games in the bundle.
I wonder if bundlestars would be in the right to charge the devs for that aspect of it AFTER a contract dispute.
If a contract was in dispute, they should have clause to protect the customers, as opposed to only protecting themselves.

Star Ruler was a game I bought full price when I was new to Steam. It was OK and I was interested in a sequel, although not enthusiastic enough to pay full price.
Bundle Stars are based within walking distance of my physical location and I know for a fact they are pretty careful about contracts. I'm sure the facts will come out in due course and I'll wait for that, but right now I strongly suspect this is down to disorganisation and disruption on the part of the Star Ruler devs.
But although we don't yet know what actually happened and I'm certainly sympathetic given their clear problems - I don't see that revoking keys, pulling out of deals, and generally pissing people off is going to help their cause in any way whatever their grievance was...

Dev on Steam forums: "A miscommunication led to Star Ruler 2 being included in a bundle that it was not supposed to be included in. I attempted to resolve the issue less drastically, but ultimately felt I was left with no acceptable choice, so I revoked all unredeemed keys. Anyone who purchased the bundle and activated the key will be able to keep the game.
I'm sorry for any issues that result from the situation with the bundle sold through Bundle Stars. Anyone who was looking to purchase the game through there, we will be running a discount on Steam next week, as well as hopefully on GOG."
So if you already bought & activated, you're lucky...

I waited to buy later, now this, one less game that looked interesting enough :\

Hm. I activated 6/10 keys, and one of the four I didn't was Star Ruler 2. Darned if I want it, I'm more sad about the loss of a trade/giveaway, and that's barely worth noting. But it is part of the product I purchased, so I have to wonder, should I ask Bundle Stars for a potential refund of that part? I know, I know, it's a minuscule amount since I kept most of the keys, but I am curious if it's a valid course of action.
