You can make some money, depending on what you drop, but you can't get the souvenir package anymore, and even when you could have gotten it,it was rare.

Well, you can open it, and get a chance to get something good, or you can sell it for 5 + euros, or wait till the price rises.

I wouldn't even call that a scam. It's not like they were trying to deceive you or something, since you could see what they were offering. It was just a really REALLY terrible offer.
