I still don't get the idea...
Let's say 5 people win there. So the people who win will be actually people who entered numbers: 1, 2, 3, 4 and 5. Isn't that true? It is rather silly I think since people who come here later have no chance... Or maybe I don't understand it? I would be happy if You/someone could explain the idea to me.

So...basically this is a glorified ninja drop?

Because there's nothing to stop you from posting 1 and calling it done.

This is going to be a tough one to win! Who knows if the next will pick the number you just chose! Do you aim low and risk your chances of getting eliminated or do you aim high and overshoot the thing? Oh, God help us all...

Could you post the number of guesses for each number when it will be ended? In a chart for example... :p

Here are the questions the mathematician asks:

1. What happens if everyone picks the same number, or more generally if every number that is picked is picked multiple times.
2. Assuming there is some way to deal with (1), what happens if every number that is picked is picked by more than five people?

Interesting concept. I am also pondering what effect it would have if people were to say which numbers they picked. On the one hand people would want to avoid those numbers because it would guarantee that they would lose, but if the number is sufficiently low they might feel forced to pick it as there is no way of winning if they know others are going to be lower. That also assumes people are telling the truth though, so there is a whole other level of bluffing involved. I assume there is the implicit rule of not mentioning what you have picked though. ;)

This reminds me of those lowest/highest unique bidding auctions, just without the fees. I like it.

What if i have accidently pressed the enter button? Or decided to change my mind? I think it would be the best, if the last entry counted.

This is a cool idea. I hope the RNG god will be with me. He abandons me for a few weeks now, especially when playing to Dota 2.
