Regifting policy

What if steamgift let you enter for a dlc that you own because you pre-purchase a game and get and you didn't know. Then you learn that after you receive it and when you tell him to reroll or that you don't want he said.

"It's yours why don't you give it to another person ?

Can I regift ?

Well, if the gifter really doesn't want to reroll and has already sent you the item I suppose you could give it to a friend. Marking it as received will appear legit as it technically does exist on your account.

Just don't make an actual SG giveaway for it, give it to someone on your friend's list or w/e.

Nope, best course of action in that case would be to contact support yourself and keep the item in inventory (or store the key and don't use it) for the time being.

Just follow the rules. I was suspended for regifting and not activating the games. I activate everything now :D

I know the pain of rerolling already owned dlcs... But still, regifting can get you banned so why would you want to do that?

I'll also add, other people entered the giveaway. If you've got the game / DLC already, it's just nice to let the other entrants have a second shot at winning.
