Of the recent giveaways for both games within the last week, 3 of the giveaways were made by the same person. Most likely they were keys which they had stored over time from old bundles or were cheap games possibly from the grey market.

I think Alienware might have received more keys
https://www.alienwarearena.com/ucf/show/2100731/boards/contest-and-giveaways-global/Giveaway/coffee-crisis-steam-game-key-giveaway
They gave them away in December but sometimes they get more and add them at a later date.
I got mine from there so it keep saying I already have it, so can't verify it there is more keys at AWA or not.

I bought the Deluxe version from Gamivo's 90% off event today for €0.08. I assume most of the GAs came from there.

All these giveaways just posted (including Grotesque Tactics 2, Obulis, etc) look kinda sus ... All Lvl 1, all for only 1 hour and all the giveaway creators have have a random number at the end of the name (not that I'm one to talk in that department).

does it really matter if bots make giveaways? I'd rather them make them than enter them

Normaly only one user sits behind them and if he would only give it would be "only" Multiaccounting, in a way not much have something against it :-D, but each of the accounts have the 400 points and use them for sure too.
Multiaccounts aren't made to be generous, they are made to get something, have a advantage or earn something.

i believe in this case - since they are "gifting" - user data like E-mail address is their aim. the victims would be the winner of those GAs.
wasnt there recently a thread about this? Someone reported getting spammy mails even though this mail address is only used for SG and nothing else... so only someone this person won their GA from could know their address.

The email adresses are maybe a "little bonus" for the bot owner but https://www.steamgifts.com/discussion/EhJvw/where-are-those-giveaways-coming-from/search?page=72#SXiIgfM and https://www.steamgifts.com/discussion/EhJvw/where-are-those-giveaways-coming-from/search?page=72#mH1JSvh

I know the bot thing is over, but I thought your idea worth a reply.
There is no benefit of making giveaway with bots, as their owner could get all the email addresses the flock could - without the need of make and keep up hundreds of bot accounts. Also, for the sake of random spammy emails, one could get tens of thousands of emails on the dark web pretty cheaply - making giveaways and giving out games is an extra effort of time, money and energy. ( Regarding the user who got the spam - it's more likely that one of their winners 0registered their email for random stuff. SG is highly inefficient to farm emails for things that don't require SG/Steam user emails)

since im not knowledgable in those things i thought it was a possibility as i remembered that one thread i mentioned. it made sense to me... cause i couldnt think of any other reason as to why a bot would give away games....
but thanks for pointing it out. its never to late to learn new things :)

Theres a new set that just posted a little bit ago too, the giveaways in question were for Bad Shooter 2, Placebo Effect, and Hard Minus, 29 bot accounts on those 3 alone. All created 3 or 4 weeks ago on the same dates. Nearly every single one of their steam accounts shows the last 3 recent games played as Postal, CSGO, and Hitman 2, with near identical playtimes. All of the profiles using some kind of lowish resolution box art / move poster. Each of their Steam profiles also basically says that they are a bot as well. Never seen anything quite like it before on SG.

This thread is created so you can ask other community users the source of those giveaways.
