atleast some of the lastest game keys you activated on steam. Your ID, basically proving it is you who you claim to be.
You may have activated some recent free games from indiegala/WGN.... look there for your key if you dont remember. they usually have those backed up in your profile

I still have my box from walmart with the counter strike orange box, and serial.
So something like that is valid ownership.

i got this answer
Please check your spam or junk folder as Steam emails may be getting filtered out by your provider. We also recommend adding 'support@steampowered.com' and 'noreply@steampowered.com' to your contacts or trusted senders list within your email client and re-test the issue. Also please make sure to check all other categories or tabs in your inbox (such as social or promotions).
If the email address on your account is no longer valid, please make sure you have provided adequate information and proof of ownership to ensure the speediest results: https://support.steampowered.com/kb_article.php?ref=2268-EAFZ-9762

Uhh don't tell people your personal information. And don't you need parental approval for steam/steamgifts?

"The Website is available only to individuals who are at least 13 years old."

I wonder if an admin will actually ban you though.

Steam support takes a long time to reply, and usually their replies are not useful at all. I expect to wait a week or so every time I email steam support, and 90% of the time to get a copy-pasted and useless response. A friend of mine has a hard copy of The Orange Box and lost the Steam account associated with it, he asked Steam support about redeeming the key on his new account or getting the old account back about 3 years ago, he's sent a photo of the box with the CD-key and still hasn't got the account or the game back.
On another note, how did your account get hacked? Did you not have Steam guard enabled? Tell us info about how it happened so other people can avoid getting their own accounts hacked!

You gave somebody your email address and the password to your email account? If so then you'd better change your email password before they take that too.

You didn't get "hacked", you got "phished" (like most people with this issue), there's a difference.

follow this to lock your account till support does something...
http://www.reddit.com/r/Steam/comments/2fdz5o/psa_bookmark_your_accountlock_url/
basically, try logging into your account from a different browser. this would trigger an email authentication to your email id. Check there for your personal Account lock url/token.

that is true.... but changing password requires an email confirmation doesn't it?
If he got that mail, even that would contain the Lock url.
I'm curious, how can someone change ur password without email id access?
Comment has been collapsed.
Actually changing email address does not require a confirmation from the old email. Only the new one.
I feel this is a glaring issue, which needs to be looked at. I recently got my account hijacked, and I was seriously surprised that its so easy for someone to change the email address, and then reset password, since they have the ownership of that new email and can accept confirmations.

It's even worse than that. As someone said above, changing the account's email address doesn't require any sort of confirmation to the old email (it ought to at least send a "warning, email being changed, click here to prevent it, lock thing down, and change your password if you didn't request this" sort of email, but it doesn't.)
So once someone has gotten control of your account, they can change your email and you have no recourse. Based on what he said above, he stupidly gave them the password, account name, and steamguard key, which means they had total control and could change the account's email; he no longer has any connection to his account whatsoever.

People like you (kids) don't even deserve to have steam accounts...

You started well (People like you) and ended up terribly... (kids). It's true that people like him don't deserve to have steam accounts, but it's not because they are kids, but because they are stupid. All the guys I know have been using Steam from the age of ~14, but none of us where stupid in that kind of way, and there are so many people just like that. But there are adults that I meet that act just like that kid..

He has a point, though. OP said he's 12, and the minimum age for a Steam account is 13. So, technically, he doesn't deserve to have a steam account because of his age.
