Maybe I'm a bit old school but...

Games are meant to be played, not to be collected and gather dust, so you can show off to your friends, your awesome "I got so many games" pride.

The bigger your steam library, the better to attract a woman.

When i get your point right, it's not about the games you give away that don't get played but "crap" that shows up in steam right?

And if so, YES. People should stop buying every crap on steam. There are games that I dislike and other people like and that is fine and cool. But there are some games on Steam that only sell for cards... Nobody will ever play this stuff and still these games sell hundreds of copys while games where the devs put at least 20h into making them don't get sells because they don't have cards, million achivements or a bunch of people who would idle the game...

I have backlogs because I don't have that much time in my hands, I also stopped buying games unless it's something that I'll play soon.

My current rationalization for my massive over-sized backlog is that I'll have my steam account for decades and I'll probably find the time to play all those games at some point in the future. I'll come up with some new excuse when that stops working.
But if I'm being honest I temporarily stoped playing games for a month or two because I want to force myself to learn to use Game Maker Studio (using steam only for that in the meantime) and start doing games myself, it's not exactly working right now since I just procrastinate in other ways but I'll get there.

I don't agree with this .. is ok this kind of thinking if you apply this for joining giveaways (if u join a giveaway .. join for a game u realy want to play .. not just for +1 ) .. but for the ones who buy the games is our problem what we do with our money .. i wish i have the time to play all my games .. but i don't .. and yet i still buy more and more games ..

I know, most of the games I won I never played since they arent really what I wanted, it's just that I had so much points each day that I join giveaways randomly. Right now I'm aiming for Life is strange bundle, so far no luck, joined all my 400 points today, no luck yet. :D

Like the few games that are bound to my account and I can't delete cause if I do I'll lose few games that I actually do play? Or the games that are part 2 and I still haven't finished part 1?
