Contact the giveaway creator and tell him/her of your problem.

I thought I read something about keys for Magicka from CD-Action magazine? If that's what it was then it's likely region-locked to Poland. You're not supposed to make giveaways with region-locked keys for this exact reason.

Polish magazine CD-Action just appeared in stores, key is region restricted to Poland only. If you got your from someone from Poland you have like 95% chance you will never see your Magicka...

Most probably it's from CD-Action (polish gaming magazine), cause there was Magicka in recent volume. And yes, games they provided are region restricted.

emailed the guy. tbh i feel slightly ridiculous reporting a guy for not giving me something for free "properly" when he probably made an easy mistake. i can't tick "gift not received" for some reason. so it seems either i report him or i'm the one who gets potentially reported by someone/banned for having won a game but not having it in my steam library, correct?

What's worst punishment not received or a report for region restriction key, wich probably will make the giveaway deleted so no not received.
In my case I mailed and sent messages to creator explaining the problem and showing the fail redeeming the key. I even showed him two sites with 80% sales on the game and also offered him to send me the money that cost me to get the game on those sites... No success.
