What is your relation with Zombies?

It's purely a sex thing, we have our own lives.

I love zombies. I even think about a zombie apocalypse happening in real life and thinking about what I'd do in that situation. If I ever make a game, it will have zombies in it.

I share the same opinion as you. Seems like Zombies game are fashion now.

I loved the book World War Z by Max Brooks. But as far as playing zombie games? boring imo.

I don't mind Zombie games if they are different and fun for me. I'm sick of the same Zombie games in different colors.

I have a friend whose uncle was married to a girl whose godfather was a zombie. That's my closest relation to zombies, at least that I know of.

Kinda hate them, its not scary at all and lame how every second game/movie is using Zombies.
Plants Vs Zombies was fun from the playing experience but the theme...meh !

It depends. Is the game just 'Fetch Me This the Game', do the zombies feel threatening or just an annoying obstacle to get to the finish.

u should try plants vs zombies its so addicted you will like zombie games ... since you havent tried it u cant hate it, you dont even know how it is, so for me when u say hate i think at oblivious noob :)

They've oversaturated the zombie universe, I can't stand them anymore and they weren't anything new even at their golden age; the undead are part of folklore and stories since basically always.

I have played some games with zombies, but that they included zombies wasn't really the deciding factor in my playing it or not. They could have had generic monster type x and I still could have enjoyed myself.

Just because you have some king of aversion to zombies isn't necessarily a reason to eliminate all likelihood of playing games with them in the future. You could be missing out on some good experiences and that would be unfortunate.

Also I kind of wonder if you are playing a game that is not necessarily zombie based and a zombie-like creature shows up(husks from Mass Effect for example) you just throw down the controller or alt+F4 and just quit?

i'm not a zombie guy, i prefer mechs... killing them ,or using them... actually a game were you are the zombie could be interesting... you are there, alone in your zombie thoughts, and suddenly a bunch of violent people come to smash your face with a baseball bat, or shoot you down with a high power rifle...

i also like that time when games were all about shooting at nazis, they felt like a real enemy... war-like games nowdays seem so asymmetrical... you are the super good guy with super hi-tech rifle, and the badass hi-tech support vehicles, while the other side have basic rifles, mortar and... rocks...

tl;dr: down with zombies, up with mechs (or nazi's mechs)

Well, L4D2 is pretty nice game imo. I have played Dead Island for like 10 minutes. If we are speaking about zombie series I'm waiting for TWD and Maggie :<

I think zombies are way overdone. I don't really like apocalyptic/post-apocalyptic settings in general. Not sure why, I just can't get into them. However, if games with zombies or such settings have good gameplay then I will definitely still play them. RE3 was one of my favorites on the PS1.

Got no problem with Zombies really, always loved post-apocalyptic settings in general too. Didn't find Infestation: Survivor Stories too bad (can't really get into DayZ) and Black Ops II Zombies can be quite interesting really, but I'm mostly looking forward to State of Decay.

I generally like to believe that I hate zombies, but when the game is good, it doesn't really matter to me ;p I loved Left 4 Dead 2, I like playing Plants vs. Zombies 2 on my ipod. The Walking Dead: Interactive Comic Book was also pretty decent and I am currently waiting for Undead Labs to finish patching State of Decay on PC, so I won't get as many frame drops and can aim with a mouse instead of a joypad.
