I did receive an email from steam, but it was in German I think. What happened was this person added me as a friend, sent me the gift, then took me off the friends list.
As I said it makes no sense. At least stick around so i can ask why he sent me it.

Ignor this. for some reason if I go onto my account page, it says I have won 0 gifts, but if I click the link Gainja sent, it says I won it.

I recently joined here thinking it was like Galagiveaways, where you can win games, and give games away also. Anyway, I did not have internet access for the last 2 days due to changing our ISP, go back online today, log into my steam account, and I have a gift of Portal sitting there waiting for me to accept. I thought that maybe I won it here, as I entered for it, but checking my account, it says I have won 0 games.
Why would someone just gift me Portal? Does anyone know of any scams going around where they give you a game and they can access your account? It makes no sense why someone just sent me it?
