I mean, part of the charm of the first game is that it explicitly was not trying to be all dark & edgy, so why change that now ?

The video they showed look REALLY nice.

My #1 favorite game is the first BGE game, and I don't know what to make of this.

The first had this really simple graphics which worked for it, the animal-people looked less..repulsive because of the lack of detail. Less is more as they say. Here, too much detail. This game will definetly not have the charm of the original, no question.

also, what's with the constant swearing? Gotta go all way I suppose.

I'm open for new things but this, I don't know. If this game will be any good, it will be good for different reasons than its predecessor was.

This is not BG&E as I remember it. An online open world with no Jade and tons of swearing makes this feel like some sort of poorly conceived mockery of the source material.

Art was very well done though.
