Buying HB's first bundle of 2017?
AC3 was the worst and the last of the series I played (isn't a terrible game, I just couldn't enjoy nor find anything new) but I'm enjoying the books and wanna play the series again.
Great t1, bta is meh, but hopefully they'll add more games to it.

I'm right there with you, I enjoyed AC2, Brotherhood and Revelations so much and in comparison to them AC3 felt rather.. boring. I even stopped playing after about maybe two or three hours.

Bought the $1 tier.
To those who consider the BTA, keep in mind that Assassin's Creed III is still given by Ubisoft for free for a few more days...

Just keep in mind that it appears to be only the first episode of the Washington Tyranny or are they not sold seperately anymore ?

it’s the assassin’s creed games i already own (minus black flag) and don’t want bundle! i checked to see if syndicate was in there, but it's not. no thanks.

Would buy tier 1 if they were Steam keys, since they are not... gonna pass.

You need Uplay in order to play AC games even if you buy them from steam. So I don't understand some comments I've read.
Plus I've been using other game clients like Origin so I can play FIFA 17, Battlefield 1, Titanfall 2 etc and I've had 0 problems so far. Some sheeple maybe? lol

Something is for free... whine. Something costs money... whine. Bundle doesn't have the newest games... whine. Bundle doesn't have games they want... whine. I mean, it's not like complaining about it is going to make a different so they might as well just ignore it but no, cause whining about it is so much fun apparently.
It kinda bugs me that AC3 has been put in the HB since it's currently available for free on Uplay and I would've preferred Black Flag a lot more but oh well. Can't have it all.

Haven't complained because I'm not terribly interested anyway but there is something to be said for having everything installed from / tracked in one software client. Don't know if Steam installs/uninstalls/keeps Uplay updated or not but if it did, that'd be worth it for me.
Again, not terribly interested in this series anyway and don't think I have any Uplay games on Steam (or at least haven't played them if I do) but just a guess.

I have my own experience with Uplay, nothing good to say about that platform. For example, spending 1h. to get legit AC2 running, or buying a DLC for AC3 which didn't get activated, I had to search around the internet and see a random forum where somebody said that you have to go to a weird submenu on Uplay where they're listed the keys, so I had to put the key on the game manually... but the problem wasn't that, the problem was that Ubisoft didn't even tell you a shit about what to do in order to play that DLC. The email they send to you is full of broken -404- links :V
Oh, and when they put The Division on a free weekend, the game wasn't starting (CTD)... again, had to google around, find that the Uplay overlay was causing trouble, had to disable it and, the great joke: each time you start a Uplay game with the overlay disabled, a popup is launched advertising you that you're not running the damn overlay. You can't disable that popup, and it's opened minimized!
I can also say that some achievements on AC3 were not unlocked, and the Cloud saving sucks... and so on. How can Ubisoft screw it on something "as simple" as a program? I mean "as simple" because I think a game is something more complex than just an app like Uplay. And I also have some bad experience with Steam, but at least work decently good in general terms. The few games I played with Uplay, almost all of them gave me headaches...

I've got another one fer ya. Anno series, you have to unlock the DLC from within the game. So, load up the game, it auto-detects DLC installed and clicks the check in the DLC section.. Then it boots you back out of the game in order to load up a DLC install launcher. However, the DLC launcher had been updated and the DLC hadn't - going on a year at the time. Meaning, it couldn't install the DLC. So, install fails, then it auto-launches the game. Auto-detects that you have new DLC. Repeat infinitum.
Only way out is to force break. No help from Ubi. But, after surfing around, you can install an old version of the DLC launcher, which works.
And another one. Have a friend who had some of their old games on MAC. They updated the launcher one day, and it broke a couple of the old game launches. Six months in, and they still hadn't fixed it. And after complaining and complaining to Ubi, eventually he just gave up and decided never to launch Ubi again.

Yes, you are right. I was just referring on the chronological flow of the story.
With other words: If you play Brotherhood and continue with 3, you miss some story elements.
Also I don't understand why brotherhood is in Tier 3, it is nothing special...
What a strange bundle ^^
For checking

What a strange bundle
Not strange at all. Publisher bundles are like samples of street drugs, they're intentionally designed to only give you a taste in hopes you come back and pay more to get the full experience. It's all very deliberate.

I'm both glad and disappointed that there aren't any steam keys.
I would definitely pick up the dollar level if there were... As its a popular game serious I have yet to try.
On the flip side, I'm kind of glad steamgifts isn't exploding with giveaways.

I don't get why people hate uplay that bad. It's not even a bad service, and works just like Origin works for EA titles. People who hate a service that can offer cheaper games are just looking for higher numbers on Steam.

But why hate on it then? People make it seem like it's such a bad thing, but it's really not. I get that you don't want multiple clients, but then just don't get the games. No reason to hate all over it just for that (not saying you're doing that, but others certainly do).
Happy cakeday!

I don't hate on it, I just don't acknowledge it
also, keep in mind that not too long ago uplay was the most buggy / least userfriendly of the various clients, and was forced on all ubisoft games even if purchased on steam, so a lot of hate stems from that
Comment has been collapsed.
Me either! But after all the great free games and this HB is really that bad to hold a couple of games on a another client?
Btw, HAPPY CAKEDAY M8!

Well, I have my own bad experience with Uplay, almost each game I played with it gave me problems. I won't copypaste the long text I published here: https://www.steamgifts.com/go/comment/2MXBGsj

That's actually a pretty good bundle. I already own all except two of the chronicles ones and liberation, so I'll be getting just the 1st tier. But definitly some good quality games for a change.
EDIT: Well, I guess I won't buy it then. I can't seem to do the reCaptcha thing. I click it, the mark appears then when I want to go to checkout it says that I have to verify I'm a person...

With Steam keys, would be a gold bundle for me. :3
But uplay....no thanks :/ (but still a good price for these games)

IDK if taking the $15 pack... only problem is Uplay is bullshit.

Yep, psyched me out. Anyone want Tier 1 for free? First come first serve.

Add me on Steam real quick and I'll send the codes, then you can delete me or whatever.

A big problem that the first game have, although it has some special, interesting things (like the combat system), the story is kinda boring. But I highly recommend you to try AC2, just give it some time on the beginning, the story is cool.
