Why Do Poeple Purposly Get Bad Games For Free?

On the subreddit /r/freegamesonsteam people giveaway games, But my problem with this is that they are all mediocre judging by the steam reviews.
So why would anyone get these?

Most people do, or trade them for bundle games. Not much profit indeed, but free money. Everyone likes free money.

Stick around on the forum here a little while and you'll see tons of people claiming they have bought GTA V, Witcher 3 and lots of other AAA games from card money.

I've just started selling mine, looking to raise at least half to go towards a GTX 1070. The vast majority are not from free games, but yeah, card money can add up.

Free trading cards = free money, obviously.
Even if games don't have cards, they could be added later, and they still count as a +1 in library.
And occasionally good games might be given for free...

Two Worlds series was given away for free but it's one of the best RPGs I've played, if it wasn't free I might not know about its very existance.

Hm, I like adding them because of the fact that it's another game to play, what everyone says is shit I might enjoy, people differ, although in most cases the games are absolute garbage, but hey we all need to make a bad review as well now don't we
