Why are there no more tank games?

I'd really love one... so much. You know, not this WW2 stuff. Seriously, if I have to play one more WW2 game I am gonna buke all over my Keyboard.

I am talking about games like:

and others.

Games between Simulation and Action. Carrier Command comes a bit close to that (which is great imho), but it still includes other elements. I'd die for a pure remake of Steel Thunder. Or a new Comanche....

All I can say to you.

In other news, I can see what the OP means, a good tank sim / tank commander game would be good.
