It is very difficult to name only one...
Probably Star Wars...

I don't have one.. But 3!
Terminator 2. When it was released no other movie had even close to as good effects and they still hold up with todays standards. Flawless acting and a great story. What's not to like?
Léon: The Professional. I was not expecting much when i first heard of it but holy shit i love this movie!
American History X. No one who have ever seen that movie will forget the curb stomp sceene. Norton is awesome as allways and the rest of the crew is great.

Man, Oldboy was great but affected me more strongly than probably any other film. I was thinking about it the moment I woke up the next day...it's tough for me to recommend it to people.
Also The Hunt was fantastic, have you also seen After The Wedding?
And Ghost in the Shell is one of my fav. anime movies/series, Spirited Away of course is great also.
Great taste in movies sir, the only one I haven't seen is Notorious and now I guess I have to watch it. Do you have a list on imdb or anything?

Thanks. Yup Oldboy was a great shocker and it is hard to recommend even if it is an amazing film for those who can stomach it and can appreciate its strengths. Indeed I've seen "After the wedding" as well as the rest of Suzanne Bier Films (she is an amazing scandinavian Director in my eyes), and also loved "The Celebration" from Vinterberg which is also a great film to actually recommend. Notorious just happens to be my favorite noir/hitchcock. I just love how suspense is used, and especially the ending. :)
As for imdb lists, yup I actually do have some, though I don't update them regularly lately, feel free to get ideas from there ofc:

'Children of Men' probably. (I usually give favorites within a genre. It's so hard to compare comedy to drama, etc..)

The Blues Brothers
Ghostbusters (I guess I need to get used to adding 1984 here)
The Terminator 1 & 2
Alien

I don't have the money to buy them right now, but they are on my wishlist :D
Monthy Python and the holy Grail is also a great movie, but I think Life of Brian is better. Probably my second favorite movie .

Just wondering what you favourite movie is. I saw no thread about this, so I started this one.
Mine is Scott Pilgrim vs. The World. I saw it without knowing anything about it and it blew my tiny mind. Directly after finishing it for the first time I saw it the second time. Till today I saw it 5 time and I still love it.
Sorry for the bad english (I am no native speaker) and I'm looking forward to see you favorite movies.
