Here we go, I'll start.

Don't Be Afraid Of The Dark (2010) - This movie is a joke. At first it's interesting, then it's boring and then it's just funny/pathetic. And they put it in a "horror" genre. Words are not sufficient. Nosferatu is turning in his grave. 3/10

Malignant (2021)

American supernatural horror film. It's surprisingly really good. Pretty original, nice scares, great atmosphere. Overall definitely something I'll watch again. Highly recommended.

Fast 9.

Actually not bad. Kind of a poor way to explain something that I won't mention as it would lead to a spoiler for those that haven't seen it yet.

All in all, not the best but FAR from the worst, which is the third one.

Venom: Let There Be Carnage (2021)

American superhero film. Watched this yesterday at the cinema. Very entertaining. Definitely could've been better if it was a lot bloodier, I wouldn't mind this almost being a splatter movie. Still liked it, it's fun. And that mid credits scene might just be the best one yet. I'm serious. Not gonna spoil it, and if you plan on watching the movie don't read up on the it either. Overall this was an entertaining movie and I definitely enjoyed watching it on the big screen.

Forget that dumpster fire of Justice League. Watch the REAL version- the Snyder cut. INFINITELY better. WB screwed the pooch with the Whedon version.

+1

Once you've seen the Snyder cut the original will feel like a joke to you.

Hellraiser (1987)

British supernatural horror film. Stunning practical effects. Pretty sure I'm the last person to watch this movie but I still don't want to spoil anything. Overall I think I love it. Great movie.

Hellbound: Hellraiser II (1988)

American-british horror film. Not quite as good as the first one, story-wise. This one's also very interesting, with the information that the Cenobites were once human and humans can become Cenobites (as shown through the doctor). Still love the gore and all that. And it's still a very good movie.

James Bond - No Time To Die

First movie in a while that I saw in the cinema. Was entertaining enough to watch, I liked it. Would give it like a like a 7.5.

Hellraiser III: Hell on Earth (1992)

American horror film. This movie is definitely another step down, quality-wise. But I do like the reporter angle and having both human and Cenobite Pinhead/Captain Elliott Spencer in this one. Oh, and seeing more Cenobites in general is always cool. So overall this is not a bad movie, but also not great.

Hellraiser: Bloodline (1996)

American science fiction horror film. I think I like this one more than the third one. It's set in the future but most of the movie is technically a flashback. A story about the past told by some guy in the future (not gonna spoil who he is). What's interesting is that we get to know the origins of the puzzle box and the story around it. Also Pinhead was a bit more intimidating again, in the last two movies he was a bit too tame for my liking. Overall, yeah, I think I do like this more than the third one. For now this is all the Hellraiser movies I planned on watching. Maybe I'll watch the rest some time else, but for now I think I'll stick with the first four. And obviously the original is the best of the bunch. Definitely one of the more extreme horror movies of the 1980s. So yeah, for the whole franchise up to this point I can say: I really like it.

A Classic Horror Story (2021)

Italian horror film. It's surprisingly good for what it is. Nice plot twist and the ending is just super meta. Definitely better than I expected. Yes, you can potentially guess relatively early what it's actually about, but I feel like that's kinda the point. Overall I can actually recommend this.

The Changeling (1980)

Canadian supernatural psychological horror film. Very interesting story. Great cast, above all George C. Scott who delivered and amazing performance. I didn't expect this movie to be THIS good! Highly recommended!

The Batwoman 1968

1968 Mexican movie. A take on Batgirl.
Batwoman is called to investigate a whacked out scientist that is capturing wrestlers and using their spinal fluid to create a Gill Man.

It was so BAD. So cheesy.

And I loved EVERY second of it.

Anatomie (2000)

German horror film. Watched this yesterday. Surprisingly good. Great premise, very good performances, especially by Franka Potente and Benno Fürmann. Definitely check this one out if you're looking for something medical like this. Recommended!

Kill List (2011)

British psychological horror crime film. Well, it starts off as a family drama thing, then becomes some kind of hitman crime thriller later and it evolves into a cultist horror movie towards the end. It's very good. Great atmosphere, and also really disturbing at points. If you haven't seen this movie yet, you should definitely do so!

Vampyr (1932)

German-french-danish horror film. Great vampire movie. Not quite as good as some others around the time (like Nosferatu 10 years earlier) but this one should still be counted among the best. Surprisingly good acting for a cast mostly comprised of non-actors. But unsurprisingly the best performance is delivered by Sybille Schmitz, who was one of the few actual actors in this movie. Creepy atmosphere. Overall I can recommend this, but not before you've watched Nosferatu, Dracula and Drácula for example.

The Possession of Michael King

The guy is a skeptic about the occult so he tries out all different types of it to try and prove if its real or not. Once everything starts to happen, he wants it all to stop but discovers its not so easy to do. I liked the movie, thought it was well done.

Magic (1978)

American psychological horror film. Great movie. Stunning performance by Anthony Hopkins, once again cementing the fact that he's one of the greatest actors of our time. Very good surrounding cast as well (Ann-Margret, Ed Lauter, Burgess Meredith and more.) Creepy atmosphere as well. Highly recommended!

Army of Thieves
It was a movie I guess. I liked Dieter, but I feel like the movie would be better if it would be a standalone, without it dragging the "it's a prequel" ball-on-a-chain behind it. I think there were less than 5 minutes of any connection (news about zombies, a few short scenes, and the final 3? minutes). I don't know how much focus it needed, somehow most of the movie felt stylish but without meat on the bones. Nothing new, nothing flashed out, and it had a distinct drama club feel to it, when you just know it's actors playing the roles, but they don't identify, or play well enough. Anyway, not too bad, IMDB's current 6.4/10 is quite accurate. Good for a watch, if it's your jam, but not something that really sticks with the viewer.

Soul Reaper

Thought it's a ~ 4/10 movie, it was horrible and cringy - I did not expect it to be 2.2/10 :D It's like Cabin in the Woods just without the originality, humor and self-awareness removed, then being bad.
Fun if you enjoy bad horror movies, but awful regardless.

Wake in Fright (1971)

Australian-american psychological thriller film. It's surprisingly good! It tells the story of a young school teacher in the australian outback. When it's time for his christmas vacation he wants to travel to Sydney but first he has a stopover in the town of Bundanyabba, which is full of hospitable people who fill their days with drinking, gambling, drinking, bar fights, drinking, kangaroo hunting and drinking. At first out main character is looking down upon the villagers but after slowly and gradually he becomes one of them, wasting all his money on alcohol and gambling. Watching this you feel like you're going insane too. At some points you can really almost taste the booze and feel the heat of the australian summer. Great, authentic performances by Gary Bond playing the lead character and especially by Donald Pleasence. Overall a really good movie and one of the most important australian movies of all time. Highly recommended!
