I don't understand Overwatch being region-locked (has to match region of Battle.net account) but gift links being ROW. Does that mean that the region-lock on the key does not carry over when it's turned into a gift link? Sorry, could someone clarify this for me please?

"region-lock on the key" doesn't actually exist, because you don't get a key; instead, you need to link your Battle.net to your Humble Bundle account.
But apparently there are some countries that don't receive Overwatch with their Monthly purchase and the gift links seem to be redeemable everywhere in the world, apart from those countries.

Yes, but the "key region" is the redeemer's region Humble gets based on their IP. So if the game was gifted, the region of the buyer doesn't matter.

Any forums I have ever been in is full of complaints because let's face it, if you have nothing to complain about, you don't usually go to the forums in the first place. You'd be too busy happily playing the game(s).
I personally don't want Overwatch because I already played the hell out of it for an entire year (preordered it and got my money's worth and more) and am sick of it after that long. Glad I managed to get rid of mine in a trade though so I'm happily waiting for next month's late unlocks now.

Definitely skipping this, and doing it now. I'm not interested in non-Steam games (well, unless DRM-free and on Linux), I can't give them away here, and it's too much hassle for me to try to sell them.
Last time this happened in June with Destiny 2, I forgot to cancel before being charged so contacted Humble Support to say I wasn't interested. Just before the bundle was fully revealed they refunded me and removed the bundle from my account. And then in the reveal there were FOUR games I wanted. At first I was annoyed, but then discovered Group Buys and bought all four games for less than $12 anyway.

Overwatch gift link is GLOBAL/REGION-FREE/UNBLOCKED/CROSS-REGION/COOTIES-FREE to everyone in the world besides the countries where Overwatch is not sold at all (BU BY CN CU ER IR KP LY MM SD SY VE) because of US trade sanctions.
It doesn't matter where the gifter lives. It doesn't matter where the giftee lives. If you & they live anywhere besides those banned countries, it will work.
Also, Overwatch does not have any 'DLC', everyone who owns the game receives every new character/map/mode, and the lootboxes contain cosmetic rewards only and can be earned in-game.

As long as they have a single player mode, I don't care playing with/against computer since my internet is not stable, I tend to avoid playing online games and when I do, I prefere playing computer and not with other players to avoid being tagged as Mr Lagger xD .

For lawls, I decided to see what Google'd give me if I searched out that topic.
These are three of the top images I got. I personally think the last one is the most perfect one to match your own comment.
In any case, the real issue isn't whether Overwatch added a single-player (ie, bot-filled matches) mode or not, but in the fact that the game'd presumably still be set up as an always-online service- thus, even if such a mode existed, it'd still require a stable internet connection.

Hihihihi, I never said they have one or added one :-) . My english is not very good (but it will get better ;-) ). What I wanted to say was if the game can be play alone with bots as you stated, I could still think about playing it sometimes (when I feel like my internet is acting "ok-ish") xD. When DragonSaga was Dragonica, I used to have all my 4 characters to lvl 60 (before I stopped playing) and this is how I did it, playing almost always alone when my internet allows it. Of course sometime I get killed and loose nice stuffs and all but it's still better than joinnng a party and not match the other players expectations ^_^ .

Good question. With Destiny I asked them if I could have credit or Prototype 2, like the countries that didn't get it would have, but support just said "LOL nope."
I suspect it wouldn't work, unless you also have a payment method from those countries (or one that can't be linked to your country).

Your country registers at the time of subscribing on the first month even if it's 12 months sub, it's locked to whatever country it was set to so nope, VPN won't work but it will if you use it THEN buy the monthly bundle.

Yeah if you buy with a VPN on (or activate a full month giftlink - not the individual games but the entire month itself), it will assign the region to whatever country the VPN is tunneling to. As for good free VPNs... sorry I don't know any :/ I personally use mudfish, but that one has payment.
You can check if the VPN is working because for example for Overwatch it will say at the top it isn't available in your region, but that warning will disappear if your VPN is on the right regions like US/EU etc.

I mean, it's a decent unlock. If you have friends, OW can be fun. Pretty shitty solo, the way the game is designed it's so much more annoying to deal with than with a game like Siege or whatever.

Yeah ... a really low move not to at least give those in your country and others $5 like they would with China. Kind of like how Japanese subscribers don't get Little Nightmares from September monthly... but also don't get any compensation at all UNLESS they write a ticket about it.

Everyone who gets Overwatch in their monthly gets the same Region-free ROW Gift link. Either you get Overwatch ROW or you don't get it at all (banned countries).
Overwatch also has Global Play so you keep your progress/skins across regions (Americas, Europe, Asia)
