For those of us in the United States, Canada, and Mexico's northern border cities, remember to set all* your clocks BACK 1 hour tomorrow, Sunday, November 4th, at 0200.

*(or at least the clocks that do not set themselves 😉)

I get more points tomorrow because there is one more hour in the day!
Confused
This doesn't apply to me/my place of residence.

We did it last weekend...

And looks like we might finally be getting rid of it soon (1 or two years...)

I'm curious, did you vote in the non-binding online voting?
The way I read / heard about this very few people outside of the German speaking countries did.

I was part of the small minority who didn't want any change, and if it had to I voted for keeping standard time (aka winter time).

Yes. I'm all for staying in standard time.

It's not like my suggestion to move directly to UTC will ever work here(+2/3)...

I didn't even know you could vote on that to be honest!

Yes and no. Sure it was non-binding, but Juncker based doing away with the time change on the will of the EU citizens as shown in the online vote.

The EU held a non-binding online vote (July 5th to Aug 16th 2018) on this subject. They wanted to know if we wanted a change, and if so would people prefer to always have standard time or summer time.

Why, could you vote for it? Here almost nobody reported about an ongoing vote.

May i ask why you would prefer to keep changing the hour?

1) I have no problem with the change, sleeping or otherwise.

That out of the way,

2) I like that Summertime means longer evenings, but in the darker months Standard time leads to dawn being no later than ~ 08:30.

But now it seems we could get always Summertime here (Germany), cause most people want that. Again, not what I wanted. If we only keep one time I would have prefered Standard time.

Hedgehogs hibernate don't they? xD

Always messes with my rhythm, i am glad if they won't keep changing it.

If they make it summer time...that would suck. West Germany is closer to the UK than to West Russia, yet what they call noon is actually noon in Russia as far as the sun is concerned :P
Money will now determine the time change, not logic. Ugh.

I have no clue. Maybe? They are based in the US, and their local time will change.

Yes. You can see that they have already added an hour by looking at the countdowns in their current bundles.

If I turn the clock back at 0200 to 0100, I'll get caught in an infinite loop. Thankfully, I'll just sleep through it. Bill Murray can let me know what happened afterwards.

I heard that they are going to stop this time change thing after this year for Europe.
They said that a few times in the past, but this time it seems to be for real.
I figure that it would make things a lot easier for farmers and their animals.
Try to explain to a cow why all of a sudden after half a year you start milking it earlier/later than usual.

I would keep it as it is and definitely against keeping the summer time. Going out at 9am (and that's pretty late) during winter and it's still dark... ughh -1h is really helpful there.
During summer it's dawning at around 5 and still bright between 9~10. Make that 4 o'clock. No thank you, waking up between 5-7 ok... but 4, ughh :)
