Which SM tends to have the dumbest users?

View Results
Facebook

Weibo
Snapchat
VK

Can't vote in your poll, because I don't use any of the options listed. Therefore I can't even hazard a guess as to which user base might be the dumbest.
Rarely I view somehting on youtube, but I neither have an account there nor do I read the comments below a video. I don't have an account for any of the other poll choices and haven't even used or visited most of them. I've looked at less than a dozen Instagram posts and about 5 or 6 on Tumblr.
But I'll glady concede being a small minority in that.

Oh no, incoming big brains saying how they are smart, others are dumb, how they don't follow society's rules, etc.

Generation gaps... Really dumb people are anywhere you choose, as long as we have a sufficiently big sample data, but we can choose our brand!

YouTube - Children
TikTok - Pre-teens
Twitter - Teens
Reddit - Young Adults
Facebook - Adults and beyond
Tumblr - I'm surprised people still use it

These are the group I found to be notorious in each of the options mentioned.
Nothing against them, obviously, it is just each site caters to a different demographic.
I am still surprised by the amount of kids consuming content on YouTube, but I digress.

Feel free to correct me, this is not scientific data, it is just a rambling, because, in the end, we are all dumb.

Probably when Tumblr banned porn (and anything else they considered "porn" or "improper"). I'm sure that was an exaggeration but I heard it was supposedly over 90% porn before that. XD

Yeah, banning suggestive pictures (not even strctly porn) because 'community standards' while allowing white supremacist accounts to bloom unobstructed was an issue to many. I like my porn how like I like my coffee: sweet, readily available, fair trade and without swastikas in it ʕ•ᴥ•ʔ

You basically get facebook profile once you get a smartphone.. So every retard, bigot, racist, radicalist and all around moron has a profile now. They are mostly not anonymous and they still comment and share the most idiotic shit ever written on internet. And they are proud of being stupid.

I wouldn't say "facebook users" are dumb. But every dumb person does have a facebook profile these days.

I've blocked everyone on FB and I only see posts from my closest friends and groups I follow so I still use it. But damn some of the posts that get through to me..

Twitter is the showcase for how dumb people are. Not in a funny "haha u dumb" way, but in a "this world is doomed" way.

All of the above?

I have used only Facebook and Twitter, and I can tell you right now, that both are equally as dumb.

On the old forums, people were kinda expected or encouraged to get involved in conversations rather than just make dumb comments. 10% would still be dumb comments of course, but moderators generally removed posts that added nothing to threads in debate, or serious discussion areas.

On Facebook and Twitter, 90% of it is stupid drive-by comments and phishing for likes. I even had a conversation yesterday with my aunt who was upset about people not liking photos of her child. You'd think people had nothing better to do than visit her page daily to like all her stupid pictures. She's not the only woman in the world to give birth to a child lol. Besides, I actually never visit people's pages, I might see stuff come up on the home page and comment/like, but beyond that, I have never been too bothered with it. People take that stuff so seriously, it's dumb.

I noticed after Facebook became popular, posts on forums became stupid comments (spam) rather than actual posts. People became used to the dumber way of communicating online. lol.

I have no doubt that all of the other social media sites are the same.

You're missing an "all of the above" option 👀

Also idk why people insist on calling Youtube a "social network". It's a freaking TV for millennials.

I agree, youtube isn't really used the same way as social media, it's just the place where content lives.
I legit use it as a music player some days, like spotify but anything flies so there's more stuff. Other times I might come across a 2 hours documentary on some random subject and it literally becomes TV.
