Personally I despise it. I'd be content to merely dislike it except now everything from Dragon Age to Zelda's taking its cues from Skyrim. It's completely ruining good games and everyone else seems to love it because everyone else loves Skyrim.

It's nice but overrated, IMO. I feel like having played Fallout 3 and Fallout New Vegas before Skyrim, and after hearing all the great reviews about Skyrim, Skyrim was a little underwhelming. It's still a good game, but by no means do I see why it is so highly praised. Probably the mods (which I haven't messed with yet).

dunno, when i first played it (my first elder scrolls game) i was like "uhh yeah the game is good, but it's easy most of the times" thus, making it boring

Because the world is well built, very large, the game works very well with mods, the leveling system is different and you have to kill and absorb MOTHERF**** DRAGONS.

What I dislike: Easy and repetitive most of the time, small scales battles, no end game infinite progression like BL2, no option to be only one class and gain new gamestyles (like 100% mage!)

I never heard of Morrowind or Oblivion games before (of course I heard about Baldur's Gate, but I mean those kind of games). Because of the hype I met Skyrim, I bought it and now I can play it and enjoying each little place of that world. So it was the hype, I don't know if it is better or worse than other TES games, it is The game that made me meet these games.
