Confused a little?

I'm pretty sure it's against the rules to give away a game you won. You are supposed to activate them in your Steam library when you receive the key (or gift).

Ok so basically it's to activate and play like if I was to buy it.

From the FAQ:

You should only enter to win giveaways for yourself, and if you win a game, it must be activated and redeemed to the Steam account used during registration.

See I read that but it was confusing I over complicate things in my head.

If you win you need to activate it on the account you own the game, if you give it to someone else or try to regift it you may get a perma-ban here and on all toher accounts if the moderators find out.

If you dont want to activate something on your account, there's no actual motive to even enter the giveaway to begin.
And if you want to give it to a friend ask for them to enter the giveaway and win like all other's here.

giveaways are for games you wish to giveaway, charity is that of a value of which you must want to contribute

TL;DR giveaway = game you wish to giveaway
