For me it's point & click. Combining potatoes with radioactive uranium to make a key for locked clam was all the rage for me 3 or 4 years ago. Nowadays i get bored of these games way too quickly and feel very little incentive of actually figuring out anything. Recently tried Broken Age and while it's a great game in all respect i'm getting bored of it already :/ Past me is crying now.

MMOs generally i think, cannot seem to be able to bring myself to invest so much time into gaming as used to do before nor derive as much pleasure from it sadly.

Singleplayer games in general..
I just get bored and annoyed when I can't share experiences with friends..

No such genre that I can think of. I love Point & Click but I don't figure out anything, I always use a walkthrough. That removes the boring part of the game and leaves the story.

Used to play FIFA or Pro Evolution Soccer every day about 5-10 years ago, tried to play some of the newer games but they just feel so crappy now. It might be that they hit the perfect balance between arcadey and simulation based physics and depth then really for me. Also starting JRPGs is hard for me as the length feels daunting.

RTS and MMORPGs
Loved stuff like warcraft 3 but one day I understood that I liked them just because I played on lowest difficulty XD
MMO became boring just because the pay to win formula became ridiculous. You are NEVER competitive as people who pay, just by looking the premium X800 EXP bonus

RTS. I used to play them a lot, but now I don't even remember when was the last time I touched one...

For me, it's RTSs that I'm bored with. However, I've gotten interested in horror RPGs lately. I've never been a horror game fan before.

I used to be good at Strategy, but not now, i suck, i think i suck at all genres now,i was seriously thinking of taking up stamp collecting, but im scared i suck at that as well.

For me that is MMO's. I used to play that hours and hours and a lot of different once. Silkroad Online, Tera, Flyff and even more. Now these games don't call me anymore. Either because I don't have any friends who want to play it anymore or the story lines bore me that fast. Also most of the MMO's look the same or just to much pay to win.

That's why I quit playing them :3 Maybe one day if I find a other one I will start playing again, but for now it's a no go.

MMOs. I used to live to play WoW, but compared to when I started (Wrath), a lot side of WoW seemed like it died off by the time I quit (WoD). Which sucked because I used to love raid leading (I was leading 3 groups during Cata and Mists), but it got harder and harder to keep a stable group, or even find people who would log in outside of raid. Towards the end, it was pretty common to log in and see no one, but during raid times, youd see 20+ people on.

And now whenever I start a MMO, I cant help but think back to WoW and then "meh" out on the new MMO. Every now and then I still poke at ESO though. The solo content in that game is still pretty fun for me once in awhile.

JRPGs. They used to be about generic fantasy heroes fighting generic fantasy evils and I liked that. Now they're mostly grindfests, shonen / moe / fanservicey / edgy tropes all over the place, unbalanced crap, or any combination of these.

Fighting games. I just don't know why. Maybe because it's harder to gather some friends to play local VS now.

Horror games. I still like them. However the sheer amount of terrible Amnesia / Slender clones (two games I didn't really like to begin with) is discouraging. I wish there were more games drawing inspiration from PS2 classics like Silent Hill or Fatal Frame instead of just throwing around a bunch of ghost.gifs in Unity.

Puzzle-platformers are slowly being added to that list. There are just so many of them nowadays that any ounce of originality their mechanics might have had when Braid and Limbo were all the rage seems to have completely dried up. Only boredom and annoyance remains.

MOBA and MMORPGs
had some great times (years^^) with great communitys and nothing was better when the whole squad came online to get shit done...
But since online-game communitys are getting really infected, salty and just pure in-enjoyable i skipped out.

Thats why i feel really upset when i see whats going on in the chat in my favourite franchise (Batllefield) recently...pure salt-lake-city.

mindless shooters. I used to love em, back in the day... doom, quake, serious sam.. games which were just about laughing as you mow down endless waves of bad guys, with the levels only serving to mindlessly guide you from one shooting arena to the next. These days i LOVE story. I love anything with a strong interesting narrative, intelligent world design that conveys its own story... as a consequence, i just cant enjoy dumb shooters any more. I couldnt get in to the new doom game because it got boring too quickly just doing the same thing in each arena. That doesnt mean I dont enjoy SHOOTERS as a genre.. its just the ones that have no story and are purely about the endless shooting.

Jump & Run´s. Back in the day you could sit me in front of anyhing no matter how hard i would eventually bite through it (not many games to choose from lol). Nowadays the likes of Giana Sisters Reboot which is god damn nails hard or any of the new sonic games I tried, all of them make me rage, harrrd!

-Open world
-Build your own fun
-Survival

They got too tedious for me, now I prefer to sit and enjoy a short but great story over a long and unfunny game.

I tend to rotate genres / tastes
Partly because genres get stale for a while.
There's a huge innovation, often in a great game. Everyone else copies it, and both the innovator and the copycats get numerous sequels, but it's all more of the same, so I get bored and switch out. Eventually there's a new breakthrough and I come back. Or it's been long enough that it doesn't feel repetitive, and I come back

That's nice, it seems we have very similar taste on game titles then. I can't wait for Divinity: Original Sin 2. I believe it will be even better than those all titles. I will instant buy it.
