What do you think of the new Turok so far?
It looks interesting, BUT I want the whole rest of the real Turok franchise on Steam. :(

I haven't felt personally insulted by a game like this for a long time. This is why we can't have good things.
Last new Turok game was meh and had almost nothing to do with Turok, it was over 10 years ago, and when they announce something new, they insta-bury the franchise. Thanks, Universal. Thanks for nothing.

It actually looks kind of nice, but I´m not too big a fan of the Turok-Series (although I did enjoy the games back in the N64 days), so there is no real disappointment in this for me.. I really know how this can feel, though.. waiting ages for a new game in a beloved "thought to be dead" series and the only sign of life is something that seems to just get the name slapped on it.. I remember series like Dungeon Keeper, Syndicate, Xcom (the shooter "The Bureau" got anounced loooong before any sign of Firaxis´ great revival of the series was in sight) etc..
I think everyone could enjoy (or choose to just not care about) this announcement, if a "real" new game in the series would also be on the horizon. Handling it this way feels like kicking a fan when he´s down..

Hey, that's the point I wanted to make!
I guess it looks OK as a game, but I don't get why it needs such a bland artstyle.
I'd find it more interesting if they did it in the style of the original '50s comics.

I just saw on Steam that a new Turok is about to be released.. but it's definitely not what I was expecting. It's by developers Pillow Pig and published by Universal Studios Interactive Entertainment. I'm into indie games so this could be interesting.

I just found an open challenge back in 2018 from Universal that 500 indie developers participated in. The winner would win 250k as well as be able to create a game using one of the Universal IPs. I'm thinking this is the winner.
