Nothin comes close to Lost, but this can entertain you a little

I think some people said that Fringe has a very vaguely similar feel to Lost. I didn't see Lost myself though so not sure how true. The fact that they are both made by J.J. Abrams may have something to do with it.
Also, it's one of my most favorite show ever. :)

Agree to disagree. I love both, and while Sherlock has some truly great moments (especially in 1.1, 1.3, 2.1, and 2.3), Elementary has greater depth. Partly this is because they have so much more TIME to work with, but a large part is in the performances.
In Sherlock (especially the most recent season), the characters get a bit more cartoony. The whole cast is undergoing flanderization, to the detriment of the show. Sherlock is back from the dead, how wacky! But the only person to react like a normal person is John, EXCEPT for some reason they keep relocating to seedier and seedier establishments every time John punches him. Fine, I get the joke. But HOW are they going from place to place? In absolute silence? Because Sherlock keeps continuing their conversation, but clearly time has passed. THAT is the kind of nonsense I'm talking about.
Which doesn't make Sherlock a bad show, just a different kind of show, a less-serious show compared to Elementary. Sherlock definitely has its strengths as well (the nods and winks to the audience that has read the stories).
But I would not say that it is "much better than Elementary".

It was disappointing. I was expecting something better for all the praise it was getting, but guess that goes for everything, if something gets high praise it most likely will suck. I was ready to drop it during third season, but I went through all of it so I wouldn't sound like pretentious prick when I say I didn't like it.

I heard it's just a cooking show...I'd rather watch the Food Network.

If you haven't seen it, it's exactly Lost. I mean, =exactly=. You have one main story, and all these flashbacks, and things don't make sense at first, and...
AND there are Lost references all over the place. They have Apollo candy bars (yes, I know those didn't originate with Lost, but still). Lots of Lost entities make tiny appearances or are referenced (eg, Oceanic Airlines, the Geronimo Jackson band [which itself referenced Alice in Wonderland which of course ties in with Once Upon A Time and now has a spinoff...], the Exposé television show). The Lost numbers are all over the place (Storybrooke's zip code is 04815, haha). Damon Lindelof even has a recurring cameo.
It's totally LOST, and they know it is LOST. Which should surprise nobody, because it was created by Adam Horowitz and Edward Kitsis (both major writers for Lost).
It's not the very best show on television, and it takes a while to get going, AND I can't really tell you about it because I don't want to spoil anything... but give it a chance maybe.

I know that feel bro.
Supernatural, Fringe, Lost, Stargate <333333, Stargate Atlantis <333333, are the series that left me empty inside for not having more.
You might want to try "The Dead Zone", it has quite a lot of seasons and I found it quite entertaining when I was younger. Journeyman is cool but it was cancelled as well.
Game of thrones is great, gotta watch at least 4 episodes to truly get hooked, but it's worth it, especially since if you finish season 3 and can't wait you can always get the books.

ah, okay, I hate cancellations. If you don't mind them too much, I'd recommend Jericho, The Lost Room, Defying Gravity and Fast Forward.
Jericho has 1,5 seasons. That short 2nd season was rushed and delivers something similar to an end, since the director and the writers already knew, they are being cancelled. It's still pretty much worth watching.
The Lost Room has only 6 episodes, which are a pilot to a never filmed series. Parts of it are left open to start a (never happened) series, but the end is to a degree quite satisfying and it is a really great show with mystery, interesting characters and a great idea behind it. Highly recommendable.
Defying Gravity (sci-fi mystery - somewhat "Lost" in space) has only 1 season and leaves much to be desired at the end. But it doesn't really have a cliffhanger - it's just not finished. I only recommend it, since I really felt, that it had similarities to Lost and since it was pretty well produced. You will be annoyed that it isn't complete.
I guess you have seen all this stuff, since it is pretty old.

The Walking Dead is the closest thing I've seen to Lost. The action is equally thrilling. The drama is a bit more obscure (ie. you may need help understanding it), but there's still plenty to draw from.
Someone mentioned The X-Files. I've been putting off watching it again for fear of losing, oh, say everything I believed in when I was young. I came across a few episodes recently, and they dealt with such deep philosophical questions I didn't fully understand them until now. So it just gets better.

Inspired by other thread, tell me some tv series like Lost. I couldn't find any other like this. I mean the story, take it literally or metaphorically and still make sense (for a tv show), the characters, the mystery (even with all the reveals it was still a mystery). So, suggestions?
