borderlands 2 has some maps with snow.
not on steam, but dead space 3 is awesome and has a pretty long area covered in snow. i think dragon age 3 also fits this description. :3

You should really try Batman Arkham series games! I was indifferent towards Batman before Arkham Asylum. But wow, what an amazing game it was. More or less the same should be with Arkham City, didn't play it yet. I really recommend you to give it a try just as for the random very good game.

Assassin's Creed 3 has winter and snow, roughly half of the game takes place in winter. It's very beautiful, and you can hunt and climb trees in the forest, stumble through the deep snow, as well as explore the snowy cities. It's very atmospheric and fun to free roam. When you finish the game, you can change the season and weather whenever you want.
Assassin's Creed Rogue also has a massive location in the North Atlantic, so it's all icebergs and snow there as well, and you can visit it at any point in the game.

I found AC3 to get boring after a few hours of playing.. couldn't get alot done in the game and I doubt that I'll ever finish it :P

I'll add a few as I share the sentiment :)
- Don't Starve - as one of the seasons. If you're playing without DLC, it is 20 days summer, 20 days winter by default. You can set up eternal winter of course :)
- Counter-Strike: Global Offensive - Office map. Yes, I know. It's weird. Still the map has some very special atmosphere. Like from Die Hard or Home Alone movie. Very wintery

Slightly surprised that no-one mentioned Winter Voices. Haven't played much of it myself - it's got a nice style and some interesting ideas, so I'd like to play more of it at some point, but it's quite depressing, complicated, and buggy, so I'd need to be in a very specific mood to get round to it. As you'd expect from a game with Winter in the title though, it does definitely feel quite wintery. :D

I really like the winter.. it's not as hot as the summer :3
So today I saw shelfs full of gingerbread and chocolate santa clauses in the supermarket and it got me in the mood for christmas/winter themed games :D
But I couldn't find that many good ones, besides HOG's that play in snowy areas or Steep (what I'm really looking forward to)
