Divinity Original Sin devs tease Baldurs Gate 3?

Unlikely, unless it is in title only or they are really prepared to do a story about gods on the astral plane, since the saga of the Bhaalspawn was really, really, really, irrevocably finished in Throne of Bhaal—which just condensed the planned third part of the trilogy into a rushed expansion pack. The best thing they can do is continue the story with one/few of the more popular party members or do a gigantic retcon that more or less entirely erases the events of ToB.

Then again, a direct continuation would be pointless, because even if someone has an old save (cough), nobody in their right mind would do a game today with AD&D 2.5 rules, and characters from that ruleset would be nearly impossible to convert to current ones.

hopefully they use d20 srd and not something homebrew like pillars of eternity or tyranny.
best would be if they can get wizards of the coast to work with them in a 5e dnd game. ^^
