As some people asked, here you can find 7z archive which contains all chiptunes that were used during the event, as well as some that didn't make it to the event, yet we had them ready (total of 369 songs). Feel free to use them however you wish.

We made it tradition in Touhou Giveaways to organize public SG events from time to time, rewarding everybody with decent giveaways as a "giveback" to the community. Every event is unique, carefully prepared by Touhou Staff, with contributions from various Touhou Giveaways members. This way we want to show that giveaway groups are not only about giveaways, and it's the community that plays important part in creating a successful group of lovely people.

This time we'll put you to the test. Your every ability and skill will come useful. In cooperation with other SG members, you'll be working hard on solving the biggest mysteries we prepared for you, which will require versatility, especially games, movies, music, anime and memes knowledge, and that's only the beginning.

Rules

There are over 289+ giveaways, from which at least 245+ can be obtained through teamwork of whole SG community. We have prepared many different bundled and unbundled giveaways, including No Man's Sky, so everybody should find something worthy :3.
Event will last until 20th August 00:00 CEST (my birthday)
Your objective will be to find out the origin of over 300 audio samples, from various games, movies, bands, TV serials and likewise.
In order to avoid cheating, every sample has been converted into awesome chiptune-like 8-bit arrange done by our beloved ArchiBoT. We made sure that every song sounds properly and can be solved. We included extra info about format we expect for each question, therefore you can use that as a hint.
The task is divided into two categories: Group puzzles and Single puzzles
If given song was used in more than one place, original origin matters (where it was used for the first time), unless format specifies otherwise.

Group puzzles

Group puzzles are supposed to be solved by the SG community. You can (and should) work together on solving these ones. I strongly encourage you to use the thread for sharing hints, thoughts, possible clues and other useful information regarding questions being asked. You can ask anybody for help, apart from Touhou Giveaways members (who are also excluded from participation).

Every group puzzle features mini-train after solving all questions, and they're further categorized into matching themes, so solving RPG puzzle consisting of RPG-like questions will reward you with many awesome RPG games!

Single puzzles are supposed to be solved solo, so I'd appreciate if you did not share hints, thoughts or otherwise useful information regarding them. Those puzzles are divided into three categories, and I'm sure that everybody can solve at least one of those solo, so why not give it a try?

Those are puzzles which are considered easy to solve for majority of people.

Hints

We made our best to focus on community aspect of our event, therefore majority of giveaways (245 out of 289 total) are behind group puzzles. We expect that you'll solve them quite easily. If it becomes too difficult, we will give you some hints, but we'll also reduce amount of giveaways for that gate, so hard-work will be much more rewarding :3.

Regarding single ones - giveaway creator's rules apply. We have prepared two hint phases: at 15th August and 18th August, offering every giveaway creator to decide if (s)he wants to disclose any hints (or not).
