"New Guy" question

I signed up less than an hour ago and am loving the website/community so far

1 quick question. If someone gives away 3 copies of a $40 game do I get 5% of 40 or 120?

If you talking about the points then you don't any points points for making a giveaway; only when others create giveaways. If you talking about contributor value then you should get $120 unless its a bundle games.

Not talking about myself doing a Giveaway

So from what I understand here it's more beneficial to do 3 separate giveaways of the same game than 1 giveaway with 3 copies? That will give the community more points?

Yes but to be honest it's not a big deal because the rate at which points accumulate is already pretty fast.

It depends on how they do it. A three-copy giveaway will only give you 5% of $40, whereas three one-copy giveaways would be the latter.
