The price? Seems demand for Win 10 Minecraft is low, so the price is low as well.

It's a branch of the mobile version and it's actually cross-platform compatible. You can play on lan with friends who are using Android and IOS devices. Also, they can push the game to all their platforms (PC, tablets, phones)

You can actually play with people playing it on mobile and win 10 edition too.

Windows 10 edition is pretty bad, if you've just never tired minecraft it's a decent start, but if you like it, you'll want to spend the cash for the real game.

The windows 10 store one is not bad it's just not the full on PC version.
It's the better way to go if you are new to the game, and want to see if it's worth it.It does not support mods but then again it's bigger brother really is aimed more at those who really love the game and play it a lot.
This is more of a casual version where it supports just enough to keep those who like to play it every so often and do not muck about with mods.It does have theme packs like Fallout,Holidays,Fantasy. You can also play people on the mobile version and will soon support more cross-play.
Though that mostly applies when the game is cheap like it is now if you are going to pay 26.99 you might as well the better version. You could also get this version if you want to get mine craft a go without investing the full price of the better version.
Also the Xbox X will get a Play Anywhere version so maybe you will also get a discount for owning this or maybe this one will just give you free access to it.

For a positive note since a lot of people are saying this is bad: Windows 10 minecraft is cross compatible with the x-box, mobile, and gear vr versions of the game, so for anyone who likes casual play with a few friends or your kids or something; just load it up on phones and tablets or vr headsets (The windows 10 version is fully VR if you have a headset, or you can play the Gear VR version if you've got that) and you can all play together with just a few clicks. No setting up servers, no swearing over networks, just click click done.
The downside is that it doesn't have mods and it doesn't have the latest features of the latest official PC build, but this edition is the future of Minecraft.
Note though, if you already own the old version of minecraft you do NOT need to pay for this - just log in to the mojang website and you can get the windows 10 code for free there.

Does it count as an premium account? Did anyone buy it or knows about it? I've never bought games for windows.
