Both are wishlisted for a long time, i can get only one of them now.. I feel closer to the Bastion because it is released earlier.. Why should someone pick one over the other one ?

Do you want a fantasy setting or a stylised sci-fi setting?

Actually it doesn`t matter since i am sure that they are both superb games with different specs in their own way.

Played both, both awesome games, but I liked Transistor more.
The Combat system, the Story, everything. Transistor is in everything a little bit better ( in my taste at least)

Of course Transistor is much harder to get, since it's never been bundled, or not cheaply at least. And winning it from a site like this would have odds greatly stacked against.

BOTH! made me shed a tear

edit. but if I had to pick one ... Transistor. Liked the story and skills building way more here.

Bastion. If Transistor is slightly better, than you might be disappointed when you get Bastion later on. This way it can only get better (and I hear that Bastion is amazing! I need to play it, myself!)

Transistor's combat system simply wasn't my thing, so I vote for Bastion.

+1 to this. I completed Bastion twice, and then moved on to Transistor, and it just... didn't click for me.

I was going to buy Transistor, but I've listened to Bastion's soundtrack so much, that I thought it would be better to buy it instead.

Played both and they're both indeed very nice games! Transistor is a bit more polished that is slightly better at everything but Bastion is more fast paced. So I am gonna suggest Bastion first, always save the best for last. If you can squeeze in somehow and get the bundle with both that'd be the best though :P

The bundle is only good if you want the soundtracks, for the games itself it's more expensiv

Oh it is? I have a custom price showing atm so no idea of it's price when you own nothing in it. If it ends up higher than individually then yeah, disregard that xD

I'm debating this too, HOWEVER, if I'm buying either one right now, it's going to be Transistor. Why? Because its at best ever sale right now. Bastion has been bundled several times before and it has been available for cheaper.

  • Same developer
  • Similar gameplay
  • Bastion came out first, Transistor is like a "spiritual successor"
  • Transistor improved the weaknesses Bastion has, but Bastion didn't have much to begin with.

If it has to be one, than Transistor. If not, then Bastion first then Transistor.

The Bastion Demo never clicked for me. Cant say anything about Transistor. Both still wishlisted but on low priority.
maybe you think about https://www.bundlestars.com/en/bundle/indie-legends-4-bundle instead?! idk, your choice

Bastion. Transistor is like the same thing in a different setting, which disappointed me quite a bit. Similar plot, similar developments along the way... it just didn't feel... fresh, like Bastion did.
