Won a Drake Hollow GA and activated the key.
Steam said game activated "Pocket Knife for Beta Testing"

I look at my activation history and it says the same thing.
Yet Drake Hollow is now in my library...

Just a little concerned about the word Beta. Anyone else running into to this?

Be worried about "Beta"?

So, the game 'Drake Hollow' has appeared on your list? Or on your list you see "pocket knife"?
Can you play the game correctly? The final/gold version?

I wish you good luck and that everything ends good. :)

Drake is in my library. And I have played it and got an achievement. I'm hoping that if I can get an achievement it means its full retail with bad activation wording.

Damn cute game! From someone who hasnt used that word before. I almost want to say its like a cross between World of Warcraft, Stranger Things, and how to train your dragon. They should make this into a MMORPG.

Fun fact: Drake Hollow was originally code named Pocket Knife. Twitter

I have no idea about the beta testing part, prolly just because it's an early key shrugs

steamdb - I don't know my way around steamdb, but maybe you don't get +1 because of it? See which subid you have activated and maybe you'll learn something.

Thanks for the steamdb approach and fun fact. I submitted the key and nothing new came up.
Its a reassuring that under the Pocket Knife package depot it has "DrakeHollow/Binaries/Win64/DrakeHollow-Win64-Shipping.exe"

This is normal. Keys that are straight from the developer can have different titles and frequently say "...for beta testing". I gave away a key for Resident Evil 7 that was from the developer/publisher and the winner said it activated as "harawata for beta testing". I looked up the word harawata and apparently it's japanese for "intestines" which was strange and funny but also made sense in the context of RE. I assume it's a way for devs to keep track of revenue so they separate retail keys from keys they give out themselves.
