Hello, Happy Holidays to everyone! D:

Since I was a child (I think I was 12 or 13 years old) I have always had this silly tradition of playing a video game during December and trying to finish it before the end of the month, if I achieved the goal I would have good luck the following year. Of course, it obviously never gave me good luck, but it was always a very fun experience that ended up becoming one of the many gamers traditions that I do with enthusiasm during the year.

It's been 11 days since December began and I have a problem ... I don't know what to play!
I have wasted 11 days trying to choose which title, but I can't decide, so I thought it would be interesting to ask for help in the community through a poll of the candidates I have available.
Also take the opportunity to see who else have similar gamers traditions and would like to share their experiences.

PD: Sorry, no GA, but i promise i will make one when the winter sales start (I dont have much money, too many nephews and so many christmas gifts)
Edit1: Here is the GA Link -with advanced antibot system-, sorry the delay and the region restriction, i didnt know steam still was doing that. Hope you like the game.
Edit2: I choose Shadowrun: Hong Kong in the end (and in january Batman and SMT, and then Skyrim...) still thanks everyone for commenting and sharing your opinions! Happy holidays everyone!
Have a nice day!

I vote for Skyrim, even if - playing it properly and without rushing - it would be pretty impossible tuo finish in 20 days XD
But still a nice holiday game, if you don't have any other plan :P

I would always play through Little Inferno every year to get into the Christmas Spirit. It's short but does a really good job at setting up the cozy wholesome atmosphere.

And then annual Skyrim binge where I get just that little bit closer to finishing things. I'd vote Skyrim just because of all the snow.

Lol, i know that feel, i remember when i finished the first time skyrim... after three months doing anything else in the game and then the mods started to appear... so i havent finished the game a second time ever xD

Nice, I have a little "tradition" like this as well, but not a gaming one - I always watch Tim Burton's Nightmare Before Christmas a couple of days before Christmas :D Always gets me into the festive mood haha.

Do Arkham Origins instead of City, since it has a holiday setting.

Wasteland 2 is awesome, but pretty long, it's a solid choice if you've got a lot of free time. Otherwise I'd recommend Shadowrun to increase your chances to finish it on time, it's considerable shorter (that is, if my memory serves me).

Also, you could always just finish the main questline of Skyrim and pretend that you've finished the game, I guess :)

I had a hard time deciding between Shadowrun Hong Kong (because that is gathering dust in my library as well) and Darksiders 2 (because I liked that game a lot, just like the first one).
Voted for Darksiders in the end. Whatever game(s) you'll end up playing, good luck!
That's a funny little tradition you have btw, interesting :) Me, I don't think I have any gaming traditions, not that I'm aware of.

I love turn-based rpgs, im a old school fallout fan, but still the main idea is have fun xD
And yes, Skyrim with mods is what make it awesome, specially when the rule is "you cant never have enough mods" and "oh look, a mod that introduce 50 types of cheese in the game" xD

If you're looking for RPG, I'd go with Shadowrun: Hong Kong. Not only is it shorter, but I think it's also much more accessible.

I too love turn-based RPGs, and have played and loved Fallout 1 & 2, and even so Wasteland 2 was a little tough to get into. I think partly because it has you assemble an intricate party with nothing to really go on, and partly because it introduces you to the game in the most uninteresting way possible. Fallout 1 & 2 were much better in that regard in terms of catching your interest (the Fallout 2 intro video was amazing!) and making you want to play the game. Not that Wasteland 2 isn't good, just that it's a very slow start that you really have to sink into, and that may be a poor fit for a busy and stressful December.

The humour, and the music... It's all so good! Even now it gives me goosebumps. And that intro ending... wow!

Batman: Arkham City is rather fun, and much less of a time commitment than SMT: Digital Devil Saga 1 & 2.

Hope you have lots of luck in 2020! :)

I went with Shadowrun Hong Kong. You've got a lot of long RPGs in that list and if Honk Kong is like the first two in the Shadowrun trilogy it's more reasonable to finish in 20 days or so.
