Is it that time of the month yet?
This thread is fooling people because it's not the $29.99 Champions Pack.
The game will be free to play later.
What this give is access to the free to play game now with ONE extra champion plus very little of various in game currencies, value $5 for champ if bought single + $1 for currency.
Champions pack give all current and future champions for at-least 15 more than Ranger, access to custom games option, three reliquaries loot cases which cost real money, I think about a $10 value, it's the best cases with higher quality gear dropped and three of them / case rather than 2 and 1 for the lower end cases and finally a special skin for Ranger unlocked for those who buy it now.
So the value definitely isn't $30. The value is more like $6.
As for Elder Scrolls I don't know how it works but if that too have lots of in-game junk and boosts and DLC and stuff you can buy then they can of course label the value whatever but someone like me wouldn't had bought it anyway so .. It's more like free heroine the first time in such circumstances.

are you sure that the elder scrolls is for steam and not other drm?

Great! That's a skip without even have to analyse the content...

It's more complicated. You earn a currency by playing which you spend on daily rentals. BUT. There's a slim chance of getting champion unlocks from loot boxes. I've been playing for the past couple of months, only got Doomguy from loot boxes, so I guess they're extremely rare.

From the graphics it was easy to assume it was the Champions pack.
From the text it was impossible for me as someone who know the game already to interpret it as getting the champions pack rather than just one extra hero, very little in game currency drop and of course the early access through Steam at all.

Yes, unfortunately i didn't inform myself enough beforehand as it seems. I looked at the Steam store, saw that early access gives the roster and thought it's extra skins and currency in the HB version. Guess i bought it too quickly, but on the other hand it's really a dick move from Bethesda to strip it down that much, throw in an amount of currency that can buy you basically nothing and sell it way overpriced. Also some guys on Reddit said it's not possible to upgrade on steam after activating the HB version.
HB unfortunately also denied the refund, so i'm stuck with this garbage -.-

You can hire one champion for 24 hours using 5000 favor and you will have three dailies (maybe just one more per day? I don't know) which drop 1000-2000 or so / achievement. You also get favor for playing so you can pretty easily hire the champion you want and you can also spend favor on backpacks (2000 favor / pack) but I don't know if the backpacks with very low chance can give a champion or not.
When you level up, stream on Twitch or watch a Twitch stream with Quake Champions you can also get the second tier loot cases which I think can give you a champion drop but it's pretty rare. Maybe it's like a 1/50 event and since you can get duplicates eventually when you have like 14 to get the last number 15 would be much less likely to happen because chances are you just get a duplicate of the other 14 ..
Skipping monthlies seem pretty safe in general because it feel like they always end up bundling 3/4 of the content within half a year anyway ... Guess they may do QC again to attract people, if nothing else it will be free 2 play anyway later, not with the BJ champ though.

Basically one champion for quake.
It will be free to play later but not including BJ which is what you get here.
It's not the champions pack of all champions, custom games, reliquaries and the ea ranger skin (I assume it's not that one, maybe you do get that one through HB too.)
Comment has been collapsed.
Totally the contrary for me. Big no for Quake but will maybe buy it for TESO.
Comment has been collapsed.
Yeah, this is basically just free to play version with the BJ champion unlocked as-well. It's more of a $6 value if one consider it as in-game purchases whereas the Champions pack is like a $85-95 value using the same comparison ..
Also on stream yesterday the ID guys once again said this is the cheapest the champions pack will ever be so I guess it will never be 50% off on $39.99 in the future then either.

Giphy is so useless when it comes to GIFs :( You can't hotlink them, you can't even download them and re-upload them to a proper picture hosting site.
By the way if anybody knows a way to download GIFs from Giphy please let me know. Happened to me at least a dozen times that I find a funny GIF but I can't use it because it's on Giphy.
Edit: Well, apparently it's not Gyphys fault. I'm just too stupid to use it :D

What does it mean by, "a special offering for The Elder Scrolls: Legends?" Isn't ESL free-to-play?
Comment has been collapsed.
That's what I was wondering as well. Initially wasn't happy to see a F2P game listed, honestly not real thrilled with the other 2 but that's just because they aren't my type of game hint hint check back in a month for GAs lol. I hate feeling like I'm coming off as entitled after all the great games I've gotten over the months for just $12. Would have been nice for Rise of the Tomb Raider to be the 20th year edition also (Is 49 too old be a Millennial? The previous comment was meant as a joke, please don't roast me for it, I love millennials - I have 2 of my own :-)

Apparently the unlock is some paid DLC for the F2P ESL (see above). If I had infinite time (and no kids), I'd love to play ESO (I played during some free weekends including prior to release). And tbh I wouldn't expect Rise of the Tomb Raider to include the 20th year edition when the standard edition is still popular (not to mention 60 USD).
I am far too old to be a millennial, and have a love-hate relationship with them...my kids are post-millennial.

I love millenials as well, but I couldn't eat a full one...they're way too sugary.

Closer to 2 unlocks in my opinion, TES: Legends is just in there to promote the game, those 2 packs and the event ticket won't get you far.
Comment has been collapsed.
Just so you know, later unlocks will most likely be bad or mediocre bad. Given that Bethesda got a much greater cut from the sales.
Comment has been collapsed.
That's based on total unlocks quality from previous months. Bigger publishers, or those extraordinarly "avid" generally lead to worse unlocks and/or more small indie games than semi-AAA or AA titles. Look at Total Warhammer one, for instance. Do you actually suppose I'd post here if I had a written source origin? The "most likely" isn't there for nothing.
Comment has been collapsed.
I assume the contrary, so that when the reveals are lower cost, the rest of the bundle is likely to be of above-average quality compared to months in which the main attraction is a AAA game (e.g., Tomb Raider). And KillingArts makes a good point: what's the source that Bethesda has demanded or received special treatment this month?
Comment has been collapsed.
It's not necessarily that they've demanded special treatment but they will likely have more content in the bundle than anyone else. Take these totally imaginary numbers.
Humble take 30% of the sale, they give another 10% to charity and each of six games included in the bundle takes 10%. In this case Bethesda would take 30% of each sale.
Though honestly that would make no difference to anyone else getting their 10%.
Comment has been collapsed.
I highly doubt it's 10% per game. Ought to be individual.
Comment has been collapsed.
Take these totally imaginary numbers.
I was explaining why Bethesda would have a larger cut than any other developer/publisher involved in this particular bundle.
Comment has been collapsed.
Of course. Just saying that different publishers from Monthly can't share same size of a pie piece.

And November's slogan is:
"See, we at Bethesda $oftworks are totally the good guys, we even put some gamescheap in-game microtransaction junk that cost us nothing on Humble Bundle to make up for the paid mod system we delveloped! Now would you please stop review-bombing Skyrim Special Edition and Fallout 4 to oblivion as we are actually losing sales now?"
Pausing. Again. Two months within three where the early unlock is multiplayer-only junk.If I did not know that QC was made by id and not by a group of stoned chimpanzees that make up the majority of the development department of Bethesda, I'd say this one is magnitudes worse than Killing Floor 2: at least that one was a game, not in-game trinkets.
Then again, at least they still did not beat the month where the early unlock was a region-locked multiplayer demo.
Comment has been collapsed.
I'm giving them a chance to redeem themselves as I've never felt I got a bad deal in any month.
However, I am disgusted at this shiny digital crap that is meant to attract kids to mobile games and allow them to rack up Ā£2000 bill on their parents' credit card on the play store. I can't with any satisfaction feel I am somehow supporting this decision. Hopefully they're reading this and have taken note of the emails I know some people have sent, and the number of refund requests as well(they seem to have hit the unpause button on a lot of accounts "by accident". I sent them an email telling them that I was one of many who were unhappy and that a second occurrence would be...ahem...game over.
As my two dealings with their customer service have been exemplary, I feel it only fair to give them a second chance - they've refunded me twice for my own cockups, outside of HBM, without question, so maybe they will listen??? Time will tell.
