What are the best deals you've found on this Halloween Steam Sale? New historic minimums for excellent titles? Post them here!

CURRENT STATUS: Ended! Thanks to everyone who participated in the thread ^^

Browse, save money (or don't spend it at all), or just discover interesting titles... above all, have fun!

Wishing everyone a good Halloween / All-Hallows / Dia de los Muertos / Samhain season, whether in celebration or introspection.

27/10/2017: Sale has begun. Seems Steam is having trouble updating the store values (not even showing up on the wishlist page yet).
28/10/2017: Prices now seem to be stable. Some new deals apparently pop up, while a few disappear, but most last until the 1st of November.
29/10/2017: The "Extended SteamGifts" (ESG) script has updated, adding Steam Widgets. While quite the useful feature, seems it has wreaked supreme havoc in the legibility of some parts of the thread :) In case you're wondering, it's tied to option #13 in the ESG configurations.
30/10/2017: A few deals are already disappearing. Some examples: Songbringer is now at only -25% (from the original -75%), while Neon Drive is no longer discounted (reduction only lasted the first day of the sale).
01/11/2017: Aaaaaand, it's done :) The Halloween Steam Sale has come to an end! Next one is the Steam Autumn / Black Friday (expected to run from the 22nd of November to 28th of November).

Here is a list with some of the most interesting deals, that I've seen and/or that have been shared by fellow SG'ers.

EDIT: Besides this list, which is still ongoing, check out the original comments below for many more excellent titles. Our beloved SG community is awesome at finding good opportunities and deals, much faster than this list can be updated, so be sure to take a look at those too.

Also, as you may have noticed, the list is getting a bit unmanageable due to the sheer volume of deals, and I'm adding just a few at a time as I get the chance (no specific criteria). In order to help, some users took the time to prepare extensive lists with links, so I'm also quick-linking their comments... doing this co-op is a far more cost-effective way to handle the crowdsourcing of information. If you want to help, make your lists in a single comment and I'll highlight them up here until the main gets updated with those titles (the text lists below each show those not yet added).

UPDATE 1: Note that in some case, buying the games separately can get you a better discounts than packs! Here are some examples:

  • Found by TheLuckyShamrock: "The Ankh Pack is 75% off, but if you buy Ankh 2 and Ankh 3 separately, they're much cheaper, because they're 85% off each (so, buy these 2 games separately)."
  • Found by Myrsan: "If you own everything else of the Adventure Discovery Bundle pack, Yesterday Origins costs only 3,46 € (otherwise it is at 4.94€)."
  • Found by lovol: "If you have one Metro game the other one is 3,74 when buying a pack."
  • Found by Gearmos: "Dead Space + Dead Space 2 individually are cheaper than the two-pack." (PrivateJokerGen informs that in RU/CIS region this does not apply, the pack being cheaper)

UPDATE 2: On the other hand, when it comes to DLC's, remember to look for Season Passes, which can be better than separate DLC's:

  • Alien Isolation Season Pass costs less than the sum of its DLC's, but be aware that it does not include two of them (the lowest priced ones). Still, a good deal.

UPDATE 3: If you're patient and like to shop around first, watch for cross-store deals. Some people have already been able to find titles being sold at better prices on other digital stores outside of Steam.

Sorry, for Russia - pack is cheaper. Pack costs price 1+2+some cents every sale, now it costs 167 rubles(not 200 as always with 99 for every game)

Not here either. If you look at the $# it's cheaper in the pack, the % is bugged because it uses $15 for Dead Space 1 instead of $20.

If you're looking to snag the latest Euro Truck 2 map DLC and you already own the previous map expansions you'll save an additional .90c by buying the map bundle rather than just the base dlc.

Hero Siege was actually cheaper on the Humble Store at one point (at 95% off) than even a single copy from the 4-pack on Steam right now:

that was 2 years ago. and the price now compared to 2 years ago (0.29) in my store is about +0.06 which is 0.35, not much different. + because it is region lock gift, the price of 4 packs here are worth about 0.21 per pack. So, i think it is worth grabbing.

I know it was awhile ago and I wasn't disputing that it is the best deal now. Just pointing out that the Humble Store deal was actually the lowest ever. For me the 4-pack on Steam is $1.79, which works out to $0.45 per copy and the Humble Store deal was $0.29 and you only had to buy one (plus you received the DRM-free build as well).

Crusader Kings II

Oooh, good one, hadn't seen that! Europa Universalis IV as well, both at -75%.

Next step: knowing that games from Paradox shine brighter with their DLC's, that's the next thing I looked at. Ouch, Crusader Kings II Collection, 125,06€ :D And that's with 60% off.

Yeah, it sucks. DLCs used to go for 75% off, but ever since the currency re-pricing they seem to hardly go more than 50%.

That said, the game is still ridiculously good in value. People are always initially turned off by the DLC, but it's all relative. With everything I've purchased, I'm still averaging about $0.10 per hour of playtime.

yeah since they had the huge backlash and reverted back to old pricing they stop offering 75% off on dlcs. Guess they will get that "extra" income one way or another.

Dude, don't fear. I too, hate RTS. I had only played turn-based or hybrids like Total War up until trying CK II. Grand Strategy is a whole different beast (and it's amazing).

3$ won't hurt your wallet much. Just buy it. It's a great game with a good soundtrack!

Am I the only one who thinks that even if the game is a masterpiece (like V:tMB) it still can't cost that much? It's a great game alright but it's 14 or more years old and it was a failure when it first came out. Why such price?
