Okay, so it's an indie game (a well made indie game), and the first mission involves jetpacks. The guy can't handle the jet well, so it's movements are quite hilarious actually.

It's on steam, and sorry for the few info, but i's everything I still got in my mind :\

No, it's 3D. Kinda reminds me of Dead Space at the least.

Didn't know if it was or not, haha :P. I played the demo and hated it, so I didn't check the dev.

Same dilemma as Shank. Indie devs, non-indie publishers

And so it's not indie :P the definition is that you're indie when you're not supported by a majors.

In the music industry, there's three majors: Warner, Sony, Universal (there were five but most other majors were bought out). If you're supported by a major, you're a label (EMI belongs to Universal since november 2011 for example - they've become a label) and if you're left out of this, you're indie - or independent.

Also, if you reader decide to make music, look up how majors treat their potential artists first. We all know the artist only makes 1 euro out of every 14 euro album sold (sometimes even less), but what happens when you're not yet hired is some crazy shit (which is why going indie is a nicer alternative).

Anyway, back to the topic. It should work the same way in video games: if you're supported by any other studio, you're not indie in the video game world. To be indie, you need to support the costs yourself, without needing a publisher.

What I'm getting at is that if you want to make a video game, reader, you should find out what your country does. In Canada for example the State tries to fund video games. In France there's about 4 million euros going into indie video game projects every year, and if you've got a good project, you could be eligible.

PS: this reply is not especially meant for you Kizirious... it just had to go to someone :P
