The last half of Bastion's final level. Narrative through game elements, lemme tell ya... I set down the great honkin' weapon, (Spoilers redacted), and slogged toward the exit under heavy fire.
Until the enemies realized what I was doing... and stopped shooting.
Then that one guy fires a shot anyway, and his superior clubs him in the head.

I cried tears of rage when I accidentally saved over a 200 hour FFX save (cut me some slack, I was either 11 or 12, I think)
Other than that, games themselves haven't been able to move me. Books (and movies) do a much better job at that, for me.

Portal 2 when I watched the translated version. :S

I was absolutely heartbroken in Final Fantasy Tactics when a certain close brother is killed and then reanimated to fight you, though his consciousness was left in the reanimated body to make it harder for Ramza to kill him. Heart wrenching, man. No tears thope!
Also during my first Mass Effect playthrough when [SPOILERS] I wasn't paragorn enough to not kill Wrex
, but I've never had a video game reduce me to tears though.

The original FF Tactics hat an awesome story and atmosphere.. the newer ones are still great games, but the stories are so dull and boring..

LATEST THE WALKING DEAD EPISODE - I had one of the most profound gaming experiences the other week, spoiler somewhat for those that haven't played it...
Burying the child zombie in latest Ep of The Walking Dead. I liked also the fact that very few people actually killed him. I was amazing you go to choose how to kill him, it was awesome. But then, burying him.. with the music playing, nice ambient, and slowly having to dig and cover up not only a pet you had to desecrate, but also the zombie boy. You have a moment to pause and look after each shovelling. Because, that's the reality of it, from my personal, recent experiences with digging graves. You look.. and see the body for the last time. Piling the dirt up. Going slow so you can just.. look. And to inwardly scream I DON'T WANT TO DO THIS some more, before it's already done. I started weeping and sobbing almost immediately. The series had been 'fun' in my opinion mostly, like how I treat the TV show. But that reminder of seeing my mum die, my grandmother die, putting my cat down and burying him, etc.. was very moving. Then there was a bit of shock/startle at what you see next.. it really works so well. And to think so few players actually saw that amazing part. I think it was something like 14% on my playthrough.
Readers, post is about The Walking Dead.
You're a kind soul for warning about spoilers, but without knowing beforehand what game you're spoiling, potential readers cannot be averted.
Edit: ah recent edit fixed it. Thankings!

sorry just wish had some real tags to use :) the series is getting better but i still feel like my 'choices' are token and it's just another point n click adventure. But that's not so bad for me since I'm a bit of a PNC addict.. and not hidden object, generally means it's worth a look at least :) Walking dead is definitely the strongest Telltale game so far. I just wish they'd mix up their art direction a little (Sakai's style is so samey in every game franchise he works on) and do some different game mechanics.
I've also been rather angry at Telltale ever since they stopped at Bone episode 2...

Games don't usually have enough of an impact to get me crying, though Aerith's death in FF VII came fairly close. In that case I think it was because not only does she die, but you're in control of Cloud as he struggles not to run her through and then when he finally regains control of himself it's just in time to watch helplessly as someone else finishes the job for you. I reset so many times trying to find some way to get him to snap out of it sooner and hopefully save her, but all I wound up doing was subjecting myself to hear death over and over.
On the other hand Clannad: After Story, the anime version, makes me cry like a little bitch every time, even though I know everything turns out ok in the end.

Any game made me cry and any game will. Games dont affect my feelings, come on, its game

If games don't affect your emotions then you may want to rephrase your post; your wording makes it seem like the exact opposite.

If games dont affect your feelings, there is no point in gaming at all.

You should always think about how a game makes you feel. Not thinking about your feelings is why everything is so shitty these days.
But specifically if you think about the mood of the video game, or the actions of the characters, and sometimes just the story elements, these can all tug at your morals, your memories; even if you don't have any personal attachment, you can think about if the game is making you happy by being fun, frustrated by being difficult or just plain stupid, or so on. Weren't you ever in awe of something happening in a video game? Amazement is something I think that is most relate-able in video games. That "oh shit" moment, be it AWESOME or TERRIBLE or just totally unexpected.

i dont get frustrated when a game is difficult, i just play until i get it, i dont care if i have to do it a lot of times, i play games to kill time only, i dont need to play to win only
Comment has been collapsed.
I don't mean to be rude, but I feel my meaning is lost in translation.
I've never been frustrated with a game for being difficult per-se just what they did, the way they did, in their design to achieve the difficulty.
But even this is a tiny point of how a video game could make you feel something, and almost negligible to my ideas.

i think i wrote it in a bad way in my first post and you (and everyone else) didnt get my point, i was trying to say that i games dont affect my fellings but, of course im entertained while playing but a game will never make me cry or feel bad because i dont get "into games" like you all do

That makes some more sense. I have a few friends who are always "just playing video games." I think there are a few games that are fine to approach like this but I believe the intention of the developers in most cases is to get you to explore and have fun in your own way. Be it winning really hard, or seeing everything and touching every invisible wall. I'm not saying you're wrong at all and I think I understand where you're coming from now. I personally like to try and get inside their heads, "what were they trying to do with what I see in front of me."

Both the good and evil endings of inFamous caused me to start sobbing, since that game gets you attached to the characters then either end is sheer torture.

I don't cry, but the evil ending hit me right in the feels.

There's been a few games, but I cried of laughter. xP

There a few games out there that have the ability to reduce grown men to tears and I want to hear which ones have done this to you. They can be very sad games or very scary. For me certain moments in half life defiantly hit me where it hurt. Especially ravenholm and the last scene in episode two. What games did this to you.
