But is the 2nd one good? Does it offer an adequate amount of playtime? :P

I know exactly what you mean, but I really don't want to spend 17 euros for a game that lasts 2 hours. :/

My favorite genre is adventure combined with point and click, so as I said before, I know what you mean. But I want the price to be relevant with the playtime. I can't stand the thought of playing something for a really small time and then thinking that I spent a lot for it. xD But I always buy this kind of games, so I'll surely honor it at some point.

Ever been to see a movie in theater? Or to a famous singer/band live concert?
At least you can get achievements and cards from this! =P
EDIT: aaw man, why nobody told me this was a month-old thread?? now people will point at me and tell I'm stupid :(

Well, I wouldn't want to throw that amount of money at a bad game or a really small game, but I don't mind giving them for a really good game with an adequate amount of playtime.

1 steam review saying it's good with 10 hours in it, game looks pretty much the same (unlike f.e whispered world 1 vs the second), 3 game site reviews giving it a postive, don't think you can really go wrong.
If i had the money i'd probably go for it.
Nothing like The little Acre, a fine adventure game, but it took like 1 hour and that for 15 euro or something.
It probably will get bundled, or maybe a better discount at sale, you never know.

Played The Little Acre and it's indeed extremely small, but it was enjoyable, as long as you don't pay a lot for it. xD A better discount than 32%? Like when? :P
Comment has been collapsed.
Depends on when it'll get bundled. xD 17 euros aren't that much, depending on its quality and playtime of course.

Adventure point and click games = GOD!
Anything else = CRAP!

Not yet. I'm still not sure. What if it gets a discount in one of the three upcoming sales? :/
Comment has been collapsed.
You could just try mailing the dev, you dont have to ask if it gets a x discount (if you don't want to come across as impolite), but just ask if it will get a sale/discount on xmas, then they might say yes sure, it will get x discount then and then.
If it be the same price now as it will on xmas atleast, you got more time to think about it and then just buy then.
Comment has been collapsed.
It kinda sounds impossible to get an answer about that. o.O Why would they tell me that they'll have it cheaper soon? xD
Comment has been collapsed.
You be surprised on how easy and nice some devs are (it's a private message between you two, not like they make it publically known) And as i said, you don't have to ask if it will be (alot) cheaper but you could atleast ask if it gets some discount (same as now) on xmas, then you atleast won't be forced to buy it now.
If it doesn't get cheaper on xmas then don't count on it anytime soon.
Can always say to them too "well i don't have the money right now, but i want to buy it on xmas", blah blah something like that.
What's the worse that can happen, they don't reply to you or say no?

Hmm, I was expecting it to have more reviews by now, in order to make up my mind, but it doesn't. If it doesn't sell well, they'll probably try to give it a discount.

Just did, for a really cheap price. I think I'll regret it soon enough. >_>

What's cheap and where?
Also came across this one awhile ago, looks nice too. http://store.steampowered.com/app/689900/Darkestville_Castle/

The Inner World - The Last Wind Monk on Kinguin. But beware, because it looks too cheap to be true. >_> Yes, I have checked this out already, but I haven't still decided if I'll buy it during the sales or not. In terms of point and click games, I have probably heard about all of them already, so let me know if you want some suggestions. :P

5,55 still too rich for me, but yeah might look shady..
Adventure games were always my favorite genre in the nineties, and it was like christmas everytime, when a new one came out, in a time with no internet and you had to rely on game magazines for solutions or tips.
Still got a bunch of game boxes and original cd's, seen it rise again a bit with Daedelic (and Telltale in the beginning. now they turned into casual, i even spoken with someone that worked there and also wasn't happy with the direction they were going, like several others).
I even gotten obscurer adventure games through other means, you might have heard about all of them, i might have all of them, I know my point and clickie stuff too. ;)
Always used to visit justadventure.com but since there aren't many true point and clicks coming out, i don't visit it anymore.
Darkestville was new to me though, until a few weeks ago, and also saw it was removed from the steam store a bit even?

It was removed? Maybe there was no purchase option for a bit due to a bug or something, but I haven't heard anything about a removal.
While I started as a strategy game fan (Age of Mythology, Age of Empires, Settlers, etc.), I ended up becoming mostly a point and click game fan. There's nothing better than a game with an interesting storyline and multiple puzzles to solve. ^_^ I also own most of the games that Daedalic has developed and/or published (not all of them though, because that would require a hefty amount of money and it would be kinda stupid to spend money to purchase their bad ones).
And yeah, it's a shady price. xD

http://removed.timekillerz.eu/ says returned atleast end october.
I always see them as interactive books, you read a story, but you have to control the characters and solve the puzzles. :)
Well yeah the newest Daedelic ones will still be pricey or haven't been bundled (yet).
But i think Daedelic has such a bundle on the steam store, if you own several then others are cheaper, i don't have any real money, and i got the whole armageddon bundle, think a few through tremorgames, 1-2 wins here, and maybe even sold some cards to get the rest on a sale (can't remember), most have been bundled 1 or 2 times, so doesn't have to be pricey. ;)
And someone recently gifted me Silence, although reading from the reviews it seems to be more of a kids game (being too easy and such), hope that's not a new trend of them, like Telltale went.

With that logic, I would already have bought my whole wishlist. xD I don't really want to pay full prices for all the games I want. :P

Just got it on Kinguin for a really cheap price, but I won't advise you to do the same, because its price was too good to be true. xD

bought it on steam on releaseday.
I enjoyed it. Prob. not the best game on earth but if you liked the first one, the second one is also great.
Ending feels a bit rushed.

I have to agree about that. :( I still liked this game a lot though. They deserve more recognition.

Hello. So, the The Inner World - The Last Wind Monk got released today. Has anyone tried it so far? What's your opinion about the game? The Inner World Bundle has a 32% discount for this game, since I already own the first game, so I can buy it for 17 euros. Is it worth this amount of money though or not?
