Check out some Hidden Object games, there is quite a lot of them on steam and usually the story-telling is great. My favorites are: http://store.steampowered.com/app/284770/

All the games from Artifex Mundi. You can get them pretty cheap because they were bundled several times, BUT they are very good for your purpose :)

I found that Binding of Isaac is somewhat relaxing. I play it in the morning to freshen up. In between studies. And when I have absolutely no idea how to pass the time.

I recommend Tropico 3-4 and resource management games in particular.

Hello.
So, I'm going away for some days to a "quiet place", that means no internet which, actually means, kinda boring.
I'm preparing myself, like other times, with films and boos but also I have a "work" laptop who basically can run old and some indie games. Can you recommend something? At the moment I have installed Deponia (maybe i could finish that nuts adventure with his silly puzzles and some help) and broken sword 2. Any ideas?
This is also my excuse to keep practicing english and posting something in this forum, trying to be part of something and all that.
Thanks for the recomendations
