I just played Submerged, which was quiet and relaxing, but it's relatively new, so I'm not sure if your "work" laptop could handle it ...
Eufloria is pretty nice as well.

Highly recommend Shelter and Shelter 2. Also Eurotruck sim. Eurotruck sim is my personal relax time game.

Well my go to relaxing game/casual game is bejeweled 3 well that and a bit of music

Oh and as Khelekdor said, any wadjet eye game is awesome, the Blackwell series are their most known games and for good reason

I would maybe say Spintires if you want something pretty chill but atm it's always online

Hidden Objects game tend to be relly relaxing to me, specially Artiflex Mundi ones. Also Eurotruck Simulator 2.

I'd like to recommend RPG maker's games. They're not demanding your laptop much power while you can enjoy it for quite a long time for their prices.
