i have a quit category for games i started playing but didn't like. i'm going to name turba as the worst one i ever bought (and it didn't even come from a bundle), but here's the whole list:

  • a.r.e.s.
  • the binding of isaac
  • crayon physics deluxe
  • really big sky
  • turba
  • zombie shooter
  • zombie shooter 2

i'm aware that a lot of people really like it, i just didn't. i think it's more of a genre thing for me; i didn't find anything actually wrong with it like with turba and the zombie shooters; i just wasn't having fun.

Kind of sad you would say Turba. Looking through your library, I'm surprised there haven't been games you've found to be worse, but there you go.

i haven't played most of my library, so it's possible something will take its place.

did you like turba? i was excited to try a game that worked off my own music but its menus were awkward (including a ridiculously broken music file selection dialog) and then it played this beat sound over the music which made it painful to listen to. i got it for 75% off during a sale and felt wronged by how much less it was than i was expecting. i don't like matching games very much to begin with, but i got excited about works with your own music since my music is awesome.

WarZ/Infestation: Survivor Stories - for unprofessional dev behaviour, lies, boredom, graphics, lies, retarded dev behaviour and so on.
Shadow Harvest - Phantom Ops - system hog, sick hardware requirements.

The worst game on steam? I would have to say Silverfall. This six year old game does not have any support and will not even install properly on about half of the computers out there due to very nasty DRM in its coding. Even something as basic as Cthulu Saves the World or Dynamite Jack are better games than one that does not even install or have support.

I wasn't fond of Superbrothers: Sword and Sworcery on my laptop. The controls seemed a bit too sluggish for my tastes, and it had a terrible framerate. Then again, I played it on a shitty laptop, so that would explain my hate. Wizorb also got pretty boring to me quickly, but I didn't give it much thought after I bought it on sale last year.

I really don't hate any game in my library, but I may make it a goal to play these bad Steam games. After all, I played more of Superman 64 than one man should admit, so perhaps I've built up a tolerance to bad games. I still know a bad game when I see it, however, and usually do well to avoid them.

Lastly, I'm surprised that no one's mentioned Aliens: Colonial Marines, what with all the backlash it got after it released.

Lol'd at how many don't read the OP's questions: "What is the worst game on steam you guys have bought?"

Or did everyone really buy Ride to Hell? O_o

Anyway, mine is Broken Sword: Shadow of the Templars. That game made me realise I don't have the patience to play point and click games.

For me it's SlamIt Pinball Big Score

http://store.steampowered.com/app/12430/

Even with the patch it's still a broken mess that crashes and leaves some Windows functions broken (like Explorer, the task bar etc.). You can usually restart and exit the games to fix things in Windows, but when that doesn't work you're rebooting.

Even for the ~$1 or so it was on sale it wasn't worth the effort. There's better pinball games out there too.

Bastion. Bought it because of Winter Sale Achievements and everyone seemed to praise this game... Well, now it's everyone but me ;p
And to keep that game company, my second choice: Borderlands (I would mention one of BLs copycats: RAGE or Dead Island, but I bought the former as a retail game and the latter as a key from gmg, so they don't count;))

Most of the games I've bought have been pretty good, but if I had to pick the one that I thought was worst that I paid for I'm going to go with the two Bone games I got from when I bought the Telltale pack. They were just so uninteresting and really didn't feel right as adventure games.
