Sandman is the one I recommend to everyone. I also like Mouse Guard. The Sixth Gun was a good series too.

My all-time favorite comic is a short Venom series by Daniel Way. It starts off as a tribute to (imo) the best Carpenter's film, The Thing, apparently disconnected to your everyday Marvel symbiote but then retconning to link it all together. It also features cameos by Wolverine, Spider-Man and The Fantastic Four, but the story focuses mainly on the relationship between Venom and a new original character, Patricia Robertson.

A list of comics, webcomics, and manga that includes personal favourites:
Saga (Western) A dark, violent Romeo-and-Juliet space opera about two starcrossed lovers from species fighting an intergalactic war, who realize that they'll need to elope if they want to keep their child safe. I found it difficult to finish on account of how frequently it kills characters, even main characters, but it's a good read if you can stomach that.
Girls with Slingshots (Webcomic) A sex comedy about a would-be-author with really solid characterization.
The Less Than Epic Adventures of TJ and Amal (Webcomic) Two guys go on a road trip to Providence. Painfully good dialogue.
Through the Woods (Western) An anthology of fairy tale-esque horror comics. You can sample some of the artist's work on her website.
Pink (Manga) A somewhat surreal tale about an office worker who works part time as a sex worker in order to earn enough money to feed her pet alligator. Helter Skelter is the more famous of this artist's works in English, but I like this one better. It's a bit softer around the edges.
Mousou Telepathy (Manga/Webcomic) A romcom about a girl who can read minds and the expressionless boy in her class who's "secretly" really, really into her. Like all the best romcoms, it eventually combines its laughs with genuinely touching coming-of-age moments.
The Sculptor (Western) A desperate and impoverished artist makes a deal with Death to sculpt anything he wants with his bare hands in return for dying in exactly two-hundred days. Then he meets someone who's quite possibly the love of his life. In other words, the plot is a standard Manic Pixie Dream Girl narrative, but it's told with unusual skill and sincerity.
These are pretty much all romances on some level, but hey, you didn't specify. I hope there's something you haven't tried yet that catches your eye!

I like comic books.
Do you like comic books?
What are your favourite comics?
Show me. I want to read them too. Maybe you create your own comics?
Also here's a train - Choo Choo
And for some mandatory recommendations:
Markus Färber - Reprobus (https://markusfaerber.de/#/reprobus/)
One of my favourites, bought a copy kind off by accident and loved it immidiately. Very minimalistic style but incredibly beautiful, every time you read it you can see something new. Tells a story of a brute giant that one day goes on a quest to find someone stronger than him. It's a tale about understanding who you are and trying to change. I'll finish there to keep it spoiler-free ;)
So hit me with something new to read :)
I'm down there in the comments section to chat. Probably expand my whitelist too.
Have a good day people!
