There is also PSP emulator too, which one is more graphically intensive? Personally I prefer Super Nintendo or NDS emulators. However I played a lot of Spyro games, Crash Bandicoot, in my old PS1 when was a child, so I recommend you Crash Bandicoot games.

Final Fantasy series is awesome if you dont have them already on psp or ps3 or steam or somewhere else.. Crash bandicoot is always fun, Ace combat 3, resident evil 1,2,3 syphon filter series, star ocean, chrono cross, chrono trigger, front mission series, spyro series, vagrant story and so on.. psx has loads of great games ;)

well, I've played tomb raider 3,tomb raider chronicles and final fantasy ix on fpse, you can try those out.

Vagrant Story is good.
I don't know how the control scheme for X-COM: UFO Defense is on the PS1, but I'm guessing that the DOS version has better controls. I can't imagine trying to navigate through that clunky UI with a controller.

RetroArch is free, and it has pretty much every emulator. Though, the performance isn't as good as FPse. I have both :P

Don't forget about classic Diablo which is a fun to play on the go and works pretty well with this emulator :-) Also, try some Duke Nukem exclusive games from the PSX and MK Trilogy!

Metal Gear Solid! How didn't anyone else say this earlier? Also as already mentioned, Final Fantasy games are a good choice too.
