Ok, I have done a great job of sticking to my budget of 25euro and getting games only from my wishlist. I guess I can consider myself pretty lucky that the first 3 items on my wishlist have went on already sale and I was to grab Civ 5, X-Com, and the Portal bundle for circa 25 euros, therefore finishing off my Steam Sale budget. I however have accumulated a nice little chunk of change in my Steam Wallet from selling off my cards and have about 5euro in there.

There are a handful of games I want, but I do want to grab something indie since my money has gone to big name publishers this sale for the most part. The games I am currently interested in that will be under 5 until the 11th are Quantum Conundrum, Retro City Rampage, and Poker Night 2. I would like to grab The Swapper or Rouge Legacy if they happen to get a flash sale that drops them to 5 or below.

Which one of those games should I put #1 on my list? And do you think its just wishful thinking that The Swapper and Rouge Legacy drop to 5 (or close, I should be able to add another euro or 2 to my wallet if I grind some cards)?

Rogue Legacy won't drop below 5 EUR that's for sure. (wish it would) :c

Do you think maybe 6 or 7? I'd be willing to go a euro over budget.

Well it's not an AAA title but it's pretty new, so I think the max is like -50%. Wait until the last moment and hope for a flash sale I guess.

I'm voting for Retro city rampage, rouge legacy is a bit high priced for me at 15$

Ya, Rouge is a bit high in my opinion also, but those randomized characters look so damn funny.

If you wanna pick a good indie (and cheap) pick a cave story, or at least house of dead ninjas (both excelent games)
But if you wanna wait for swapper and rogue legacy , just wait them. But i don't think that they will do a sale... 20% for now is the better sale that you can see for rogue legacy (check their site)

I suggest you to wait and control here : http://steamdb.info/sales/?displayOnly=Game&cc=us

Oh, I am certainly waiting until the last day to grab any of these, unless Rouge or Swapper hit a daily or flash at the right price.
I already have and absolutely love Cave Story+ and I'll look into that Dead Ninja game.
I think I am leaning towards Retro City if Rouge doesn't go on a nice sale.

Swapper already was on the previous flash sale at 50% off, so you missed that one, unfortunately

Balls. Well, maybe it will pop back up again. I've noticed that lightning usually strikes twice on Steam (or in the case of Borderlands 2, L4D2, Portal 2, 500 times :P )

I'd say Quantum Conundrum, it's really enjoyable. Also, good choices with the big titles !

Thanks! I heard there is a lot of jumping in QC, is that true? Jumping in FPS is my kryptonite.

LOTS of jumping in QC. That game has some serious pros and cons to consider. Excellent portal style gameplay, fun puzzles and odd humor BUT the jumping in that game is stupidly difficult and touchy so if that's your kryptonite then I suggest steering clear. And there's this button system thing that fills up tubes that sometimes doesn't work when you have a lower frame rate for any particular reason and can make it impossible to advance until you speed up your computer somehow.

Quantum Conundrum is quite an awesome game. Though technically it is not indie (independent game) as it has publisher.

I guess it gets a pass because its from the same dev that made Portal, which I still consider an indie (small team, blah blah blah)

Rouge Legacy is pretty nice too, but if you are limited in money it can wait till the next sale with bigger discount.

Good point. It's not like I don't already have a big enough backlog including some games that can last forever.. :)

Quantum Conundrum is the only in your list worth playing first imo, The Swapper close second.

I really, really enjoyed Quantum Conundrum, I felt the puzzles more varied than portal and a nice little story behind it :)

Rogue Legacy got just released, I doubt you'll see any big discount for it in the Sale.
Great game, though. Pre-ordered it for $10 and having a blast so far :)
Can't really comment on the other titles. Played Retro City Rampage a bit, but wasn't really my kind of game.

I'd say Quantum Conundrum. And I don't think the Swapper will go under 7,50

Ok,so:

  • Quantum Conundrum it's very new, don't think it will be very cheap
  • Retro City Rampage was 2.5 dollars on their site once
  • Poker Night 2 was 2.5 euros on steam as flash sale
  • The Swapper was 6-7 euros on steam and Rouge Legacy it's very new, probably won't go lower that 25%

That's it :D

Rogue Legacy is awesome. I watched some gameplay and played the demo (you can get it on the official website)... I'm waiting for a bigger sale now or I just buy it on the last day.

Quantum Conundrum is a good game, too. The Swapper seems nice but didn't played it.
Others are meh.
