There are several threads talking about SGTools rules with some nice examples. There isnt one way because everyone do of course what he wants. Here are some suggestions if it helps you to conceive advanced rules :
level >= 2 and last_multiple_win <= date_modify(date('now'),'-1 years') and pass_activated_rule == true and trade_ban == false and community_ban == false
With the date_modify()
option you deny access to your giveaway if there are multiple wins the last year. This allow people who got multiple wins later (because they didnt knew the rule when they registered years ago, because there wasnt the actual prevention system etc.)
Some people use this rule : Minimum ratio using Real Value of gifts Sent/Won on Steamgifts: 1
but I'm not sure they know what they ask and certainly use it via copy/paste. The Real Value of gifts
is the Steamgifts converted value of your gifts (Full, bundled and no-CV games). If it's easy to adjust the Sent
value (by doing giveaways... but it requires people to calculate this converted value), user can't adjust the Won
value. You can't predict what you'll win.
NOTE: I'm using a personal tool to plan giveaways and predict exact Real value. Keep in mind SGTools is a third-party tool and isnt accurate with some profile (like mine).
last_multiple_win <= date_modify(date('now'),'-1 years') and pass_activated_rule == true and trade_ban == false and community_ban == false
and
(level >= 5 or (ratio_number_giveaways >= 0.49 and num_sent >=10 and raw_sent >= 10) or (num_sent == 21 and raw_sent == 209.79) or (num_won == 0 and raw_sent >= 100))
As you see, you can do what you want with SGTools rules and some are using very advanced rules. My only advice is to think twice when creating rules because you don't select profiles but instead excludes somes.

Wow.. Thanks for all this. I see there is a lot to learn around SGtools.
I am a very basic user so far, and I don't have any knowledge regarding scripts in general. This is considered quite a read for me ^_^
Although, I fully grasp the intent / functions of what you post here =)
Will screen this for later reference. Thanks for taking your time with a newbie!

Those open arms are well received.
I will lurk and sponge, until I'm ready to blossom.
< That might be my way of saying thanks again.. or the beginning of a poem. Or am I drunk on a Tuesday?
.... or all of the above. 0ΒΏo
Seriously, thank you Ouinx2

I didn't enter either, but it worked (as others have already mentioned ;) ). Thank you for the giveaways, however.:)
