Apologies if this is documented somewhere already. I wanted to do some giveaways for games about to be released (XCOM2 and Rise of the Tomb Raider), but the new Tomb Raider game isn't available to give away yet on this site. I just wanted to know if I'm not supposed to be able to give away something that isn't released yet or do I just have to wait for them to be added to the site. Thanks for any replies :)

You can send support a ticket requesting them to add the game to the giveaways list. :)

Wow, fast reply. Thanks ^^
I sent the ticket, so hopefully I can set up the give away before the game releases.

Your welcome! It may take a while until support replies back, but I'm sure that the winner will appreciate the game greatly either way. :D

Yes, you can, soon as you can purchase it (even if you can't play it yet), since you can get keys/gifts for it in pre-orders.

People gave away multiple copies of Fallout 4, per example, before the release.

As jbondguy007 said, request SG to add the game to the game-list.

if it has a price on the store and can be purchased, you can (or if it's an old game removed from the store). if it's not on the giveaway list, send a ticket to add it as jb said.

As long as a game is available to buy on Steam, it should automatically appear in the giveaway list, regardless of if it's released or not.
