They're a whole business...
They have several headsets, which ones are the best bang for the buck?

It sometimes goes on sale, and they sound pretty nice. Not really worth it to buy more expensive than this since they're all you need.

But the earforce x11 is so useful and comfy :3. Plus they look much cooler than those :P. That being said, idk the quality of those and I doubt it's bad, but yeah. X11 is where it's at lol. Not more than that though, the wireless ones are like, a total waste. The cable is like 16 feet long so wireless is pointless unless you live in a mansion or have a giant space between you and your computer or tv.

I also have earforce x11. The audio quality to me isn't that great; it can be fuzzy at times (compared to my higher end headphones..).
They're a lot more comfortable for me than said headphones, I have a lot of piercings on my ear so I have issues getting headset/headphones that fit comfortably and don't start to hurt my ears. So I would think this says a lot for their comfort level. I don't have to take anything out because of pain, and I can wear them for extended periods of time with no issues.
The mic quality isn't the best from what I've been told (again, people comparing to their higher stuff), but I'm sure if you tweak it a bit, it'll be a lot better. :) From what I've been told it's just a bit static-y so it's not like it's hard to hear or understand, there's just some sshhhshhsh in the background a bit
I picked mine up when they were on sale. I think they'd be great for what you're looking for. The cord is really long for this, but it has something to keep it all together and neat and not tangled..

I would highly recommend that you stay away from Turtle Beach. The sound quality isn't that great, they're uncomfortable, and mine broke after 2 days of use. Other people had the same experience as me, so I bought some Razer Carcharias instead. They're comfortable, have good quality, and are pretty sturdy.

I currently own a wired Sentry headset and make all my calls using Google Voice on my computer with it. Been fine for months and I've had zero problems. I bought it on an extreme budget when my last headset caught a cold. If you're going to spend over $100, you might want to look at the Logitech G35. You can definitely find it cheaper on Amazon.

I use the Razer Carcharias headset. It's comfy, has good high- and low-end in terms of sound quality, and has a nifty mute/volume thingy on the cord itself for convenience. The one thing I have a problem with is the cord length (it's like 9 feet long) but I'd rather have it too long than too short.

9 feet long sounds a little ridiculous, but the price of it looks pretty good. I'll look into it. Thanks

So, I take it you've never got up out of your seat to go to the bathroom and pulled your tower over...or pulled the cable out of the socket, filling the otherwise quiet, sleeping, house with gun-fire and explosions erupting from your speakers, followed by TERRORISTS WIN as you race to turn the volume down... ;)
9 feet is a great length, just long enough to give you some leeway!

I've never had that problem, actually...
When I am sitting less than one foot next to my PC, 9 feet of bundled up wire would be a hassle to keep under tabs, especially if it were to lay all over the floor like I spilled spaghetti or something.

You're much better off with a nice pair of headphones and a stand alone clip mic.

If it's just for short calls, or short games, by all means pay for quality over comfort but if you're going to be wearing them for any length of time I'd recommend putting comfort first.

Turtle Beach PSX21 - Don't be misguided by the PS3 section, these headphones work on PC too.
Sharkoon X-Tatic SP - Another Multi-platform headset.
Hope this helped.

I'm looking into buying one so I can chat with people in games and be social for once in my life (mostly for minecraft).
The thing is, I don't know diddly squat about them, though, since they all look decent to me, so I was wondering what other gamers use. Any suggestions are welcome.
My budget is within a $100 USD price zone. (I've seen a lot for around 20-30, but I don't know if that's low quality stuff or not. Again, I don't know much about it).
