Should be 24h if you ask me, that way people joining/leaving (especially small) groups can't take advantage of GAs they are no longer part of.

24 hours or less, I don't see why anyone would want an unsynced profile

every time i log in first thing i do is sync..

Sync to be able to accept a win.

But I know it will overburden the server, so probably: sync before marking as received, but not more than once a day.

As soon as you mark a game as received.

Each hour i guess...

It sure will be great when the number of people filing tickets about not being able to enter for games that get free weekends balloons, and when even more people end up locked out of their accounts when Steam's servers derp for a few days and profiles won't sync properly.

People with private profiles want their privacy I guess. And less server load is always good.

I'm just glad we can manually sync. I do that every time I buy a new bundle etc so I don't see games I already own.

It is ok as it is, syncing during free weekends give problems.

The whole problem is the Free Weekends. People can't join giveaways because they synced in these weekends and there is no way to "unsync" or something similar to solve it.
