So, thanks, guys.
You helped me out a great deal, here :)
Interestingly enough, while reading and commenting all posts, I haven't had a cig :D
I will consider everything you guys suggested, but probably will buy an e-cig starter kit from a local shop.
I guess, for now, I need the habit more than the nicotine, so a 0mg nicotine e-cig seems like a good solution for the transition.
In a couple of weeks, or so do I hope, I'll be finally clean. Clean forever :)
Thanks, guys.
I'll leave this thread open for you guys to be able to discuss the topic in more detail, if wanted :)

One year and a half without smoking, and I've been smoking for 10+ years. If you really are sick of cigarettes (like, not feeling any pleasure smoking), it's gonna be easy. I had extra motivation thinking of all the games + music I'd buy with my smoking money. Good luck ! :)

Tell your best friend to punch you in the face every time you want to smoke.
When you finally didn't smoke for a week, make sure you never ever do "just one" again to remember what it tasted like or whatever. It tasted like shit, how the fuck could you forget?

How I stop... I set a deadline.. for example I want to stop smoking by the end of this month, so as days goes by, I decrease the amount of smoke I smoke for example from 3 a day to 2 a day then finally 1 a day and then by the end of this month I'll stop smoking eventually and it did worked for me last year :) Im living a healthy happy life now hehe.. SAY NO TO SMOKE! SAVE MONEY AND BUY FOOODS!

I'm sorry that I have to say this but...
Starting to smoke is just dumb...

Depends, personally I think commercial cigarettes are fucking deadly, I know old men that have been rolling there own tobacco since they were young and are fine, I don;t think its the worst thing you can do if you avoid the crap in the stores, if someone enjoys a cigarette they should have one, honestly so many other things to worry about in this world, hell a happy meal is worse....If anything people can use vaporizers which negates the smoke that can cause some damage.
I don't smoke myself, I hate the smell....lol.

Well, you know how it is, then? ;)
When you're young and trying to fit in socially - "everybody" is smoking and you try it.
Boom, addicted and long-term-smoker :/
Which is, to be fair, dumb :P
I've stated it a couple of times, already, it's the dumbest thing I've ever done :P
And I consider myself pretty intelligent, otherwise :D

I never wanted to fit in socially. at least not so hard.

I started chewing on pens, it's a disgusting habit that some people find more disgusting than smoking cigarettes, I don't know.

Everyone else has given great feedback, so I won't repeat what they've said. I will, however, clarify one thing for you.
If you want to get rid of one habit, substitute a new one in its place.
This is what you will need to do to truly quit smoking, and it works on every habit, not just smoking.

Like anything, you have to say "I'm going to do it and that's that" and not look back. The reason people go back to bad habits or quit early is because they don't realize that a goal without a plan is a dream, and dreams are unreachable if you can't see the steps that lead to them. Make your plans, follow it through. That's the only way you're going to quit. Any other way won't work.

Start smoking crack as a substitute. Soon those cigs wont matter anymore.

Thats what i did, but now i'm addicted to that. The one plus side to that is that it is cheaper, instead of a $6 pack a day i have 1-2 $3 cans a week.

I switched to electronic and I am with that 3 years now. But even if you decide to do that you still need determination. Without that you cannot quit smoking. Also with ecig you will get into new trouble until you find the device that best suites you. after that is a piece of cake. Quit altogether is better but if you cant, at least ecig gives you a better life quality than normal cigar.

I myself just started using Champix to help me quit and on the weekend i went through one 20 pack which would normally last about a day.
The side effects are not enjoyable, but better than cancer, right?
Also, I found that playing Terraria (yes, Terraria) allowed me to pass several hours without smoking.

Go sit in a really hot sauna somewhere and sweat out the nicotine. That's supposed to make it easier since you get most of it out of your system right away.

I switched to ecigarettes, myself. Still get the nicotine, but none of the stuff that's going to kill you. Been 7 months since I had an actual cigarette, and I haven't missed it at all. Just don't go for the crappy ones they sell at gas stations and stuff. Get one from a local (or online) vapor shop.

just go back in time to your former self when you had your first ciggy and make sure he doesn't have it. then once you back to the present you should not have smoked ever.
