The first ever breakfast cereal was Granola, invented in the USA in 1863 by James Caleb Jackson, a convinced vegetarian, who was the operator of the Jackson Sanitorium in the state of New York.

Good games for those that don't have them. :-)

Kinda too high price in my opinion.

Wow .. I never heard of this game.
I like open world survival games, especially playing them with some friends and with all these positive reviews, I really wanna try playing any one of the series. But considering how old are the games and how many times they were bundled, I don't think 9.99$ is a reasonable price :/.

It's definitely worth the price, those games are amazingly brilliant (at least if you are into post-apo games). I played them a long time ago (cracked, don't tell, shhh), and even if I have lots of other games to play, I had to buy the saga in a previous bundle.
But I bought this bundle on Bundle Stars like two years ago, and I'm almost certain it was cheaper at that time. Perhaps around 6€ (8.49€ now). I may be wrong, but I smell a crappy price this time.

You can get Clear Sky (the unloved one) and Shadow of Chernobyl for cheap with trades, they are quite common.

By the way, they are "old" indeed, but you can mod them with an overhaul, it's pretty beautiful with that.
Maybe you want to see this (Complete 2009-2012 is the mod overhaul)

Wow .. I never heard of this game.

O.O
It is… a rare thing to say the least. It was among the top most-waited FPS games for 2-3 years, before it was finally released.

But, then again, many people nowadays don't remember Prey either. (Frankly, even I forgot it existed until it popped up a few times here on SG, and that game had a hype going for what, 5 years?)

If you don't mind the risk, you can get the bundle way more cheap from G2A / Kinguin (at around 2-3 €)

Hey Rachel! Do you by any chance know when exactly the sales, that includes this S.T.A.L.K.E.R. bundle, at Bundlestars end?
It currently says in two days, so that implies Monday, but do you know if it's early Monday or in the late afternoon, or evening?
Thanks in advance!

I'm not sure what time exactly. However on Sunday or Monday, check back on the site. The timer should convert to hours I think instead of days as the deadline draws closer.

Ah, that's right! Thanks for reminding me about it. Hours left will make it far more precise to determine.
Thanks again!

$9 for 3 games from 8-12 years ago?

No thanks...

They are trying to sell more copies nowadays, even offering it to some curators so reviews keep running; 3€ a piece is a good price for those games in my opinion, but it is true that there are "better" and recent games for the same price.

An example could be F.E.A.R series, similar to these ones and even cheaper (even older). I really liked the first one and managed to find nice people to play the third, it's all on the taste I guess.

I love the STALKER games. I used to play the hell out of them 5-10 years ago...

But even I won't pay $3 for a 12 year old game. If they offered $1 per game, or even 3 for $5, I would consider it for nostalgic reasons...

But to pay $3 for a game you get basically get for free (Lost Alpha)... It was also full of bugs back in the day, and playing it nowdays with a different OS and generation of graphics card probably makes it even buggier....

Is the clear sky worth playing if you havent played the first in the series?

Clear Sky is actually the worst of the series. That's the general consensus. The first one has the biggest scope, and he was the original (and with Lost Alpha he got an even bigger scope). The third one is the most polished and fun to play. And Clear Sky is just meh. It's not as long as the first one, and not as polished as the third one.

It also ends with a pretty big spolier for the end of the first game (IF you manage to understand the ending).

Any game that is better than stalker except metro? I am really interested to play games that are built on the same formula.

Permalink

Comment has been collapsed.

There aren't many games build on the same formula.

The first 2 Metro games are post-apocalyptic first person shooters, but they aren't open world games.

Fallout 3 / NV / 4 are open world post-apocalyptic games, but they're not first person shooters.

Maybe Metro Exodus will be more like STALKER...
